  1. I don’t think its gonna work out for him here tbh. He got my hopes up a few games ago when he finally showed he had some ability on the ball after about a year of being utter shit. i was so angry at him that game against fulham earlier that year. He was so bad, so slow, no trickery, no effort. And with every game, He’s slowly but surely regressing to that state again. I don’t think we rely on a guy who has a couple good games every year, nor can we pin our hopes on him suddenly becoming consistent after 1 and a half years now. I’d try and sell him this window. We can probably get 20m for him.
  2. Pretty sure Cash’s height figures you can find online are wrong. He’s about Mcginn’s height.
  3. I'm gonna ignore Adomah because he was in the Championship and replace him with Buendia and only look at PL stats. You can't really do a simple calculation to their stats to take into account their transfer fee. If you doubled a players transfer fee for example, do you expect their goals and assists to double as well? Of course not. The gains you expect to get from a higher fee diminishes the higher the fee itself is. In other words, diminishing returns. Goals per 90 minutes 1- AEG = 0.33 2- Traore = 0.25 3- Trezeguet = 0.23 4- Bailey = 0.20 5- Buendia = 0.19 Assists per 90 minutes 1- Traore = 0.21 2- Bailey = 0.20 3- Buendia = 0.19 4- AEG = 0.11 5- Trezeguet = 0.06 Non-penalty goals per 90 minutes 1- Traore = 0.25 2- Trezeguet = 0.23 3- Bailey = 0.20 3- AEG = 0.20 5- Buendia = 0.19 Goals + Assists per 90 minutes 1- Traore = 0.46 2- AEG = 0.44 3- Bailey = 0.39 4- Buendia = 0.38 5- Trezeguet = 0.26 Non-penalty goals + Assists per 90 minutes 1- Traore = 0.46 2- Bailey = 0.39 3- Buendia = 0.38 4- AEG = 0.31 5- Trezeguet = 0.26
  4. Tbh, I thought he was pretty bad 3 days ago, at least he was terrible that first half. It wasn’t until he scored(which whilst the finish from him was good, it was watkins who did almost all of the work creating the chance) that he started to actually play better. The game opened up for him and he had the space.
  5. First I’ve heard of this. The fact that its exactly 366 days for the first injury and the next injury happened immediately after makes me think its just some stupid constraint on their website where you couldn’t input more than 1 year worth of days missed for a single injury. So the person in charge of editing his page was forced to put in 2 separate injuries instead.
  6. I agree with you he would get a club to come in for him from those leagues. Its just, I don’t consider those leagues to be at a decent level. Furthermore, what’s the point of sending him to those poor leagues when we already have a lot of lower league clubs here that we could send him to?
  7. Deulofeu is playing up front for Udinese. archer doesn’t need to be replaced. He barely plays anyway
  8. Yeah don’t see anyone going for Ings. Just matching his salary would leave him the highest earner in about half of all pl clubs, much less increasing his salary to attract him to come. A longer contract may attract him, but may be unwise from the club’s perspextice considering he’s turning 31 at the end of the season and is already winding down. I’d be shocked if we get a buyer. Clubs are more likely to gamble on lesser known goascorers from other leagues than rujn their wage structure for Ings imo. Especially if they get relegated anyway, imagine having his salary on the books in the championship.
  9. Because they’re either not good enough for clubs in these leagues or they’re good enough but its just simpler to loan them to the many available clubs in the championship and get them more used to English senior football rather than sending these kids far away from us to a club on the continent. Last thing we’d want is a case of homesickness jeopardizing a loan On Sinisalo, there are not going to be many if at all decent-but-not-great European top flight sides who’d want to take on and start a keeper who failed at league one. I do think that we should be looking to loan youngsters, not just senior players to the other top 5 leagues though. If we have a player who is too good for the championship, but perhaps not good enough to get regular game time for us, he can continue his development in a club in one of these leagues. Don’t think we have a young player at that level yet though. Iroegbunam is probably the closest.
  10. Cash hasn't been good this season tbh whilst Young has been one of our better performers overall this season. I wouldn't be surprised if Emery just thinks Young is the better option at right back now.
  11. Funny thing is, Deulofeu's finishing has been suspect this season as well and its a big reason why he's only on 2 goals this season. His conversion rate is 1 goal every 22 shots so far, twice as bad as Watkins and worse than every other player in our team this season who's scored at least one goal.
  12. Mitrovic's top flight record is a lot better in more recent times than Watkins. Even if you took all the seasons together, Mitrovic's goal return is 0.37 goals per 90 compared to Ollie's 0.33. Scamacca cost more because he's young and actually performed well in Serie A. Jury is very much still out on him considering its not even half way through his first season and he's still adjusting to the premier league whilst playing in relegation battling West Ham side. Also, he's goal per minute ratio is identical to Ollie's this season still. Nunez is similar. He's not a bad player at all, and for all the memes people make about his finishing he still blows Ollie's scoring rate out of the water. If his finishing were better(which can absolutely improve) he would've gotten a hatrick against us because our defense could not contain him. I actually agree he would get into United and Chelsea's starting 11 or at least be challenging for it. But that's mostly because both teams have massive holes in this part of the squad. United have Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho on the left wing and Rashford is better off up top for them. Sancho is ass right now and jury's still out on Garnacho who is only 18. He would get significant game time here. Chelsea's striker situation is terrible, Ollie would be getting gametime in there,
  13. I don't think he's been that awful for us that we'd want to trash him at the next available opportunity. He's been alright overall, sometimes good, sometimes shit. I'm pretty sure he's not going to take us to the next level and considering the price tag he's been a minor flop but at the moment I think he makes it into our best starting 11 and he would make the starting 11 of several other teams in the pl too. If we do upgrade from him, he'll be a fine backup option to have around.
  14. No. Will probably be overpriced or we’ll have to overpay on wages anyway. He is good offensively, but his stats in other categories are really lacking nowadays. The all round game isn’t there.
  15. Yeah, West Ham were linked to him earlier this year for only 20m euros. I think we could get him for even cheaper than that. lack of resale value would work to keep his price lower. If he were 5 years younger, he’d go for at least 30m euros.
  16. I don’t know if its against the rules what they’re doing, but the reason this happens is because the owners of both clubs are father and son and they clearly cooperate with each other at the very least.
  17. Gonna go with Deulofeu over Sarr too. He currently has the second most assists in Serie A. Has created more chances and key passes than any other player in the league too. he got 2 assists in this game
  18. That’s quite a lot of money for someone who only has 2 goals in his entire senior career. have no idea if he’s had enough hype behind him at youth level to justify that fee. That’s about the same price we sold carney for and even that seemed a high fee.
  19. i think the idea that the don’t want Kesler because he’s too good a humorous idea but lets go with it. But why would they bring in a 33 year old Matt Lowton if they’re trying to give more opportunities to their own youngsters lol. If we don’t recall Kesler, that academy right back now has 2 different players to compete with and honestly, he’ll probably take a back seat to Lowton. I’m gonna need a source on that claim that huddersfield are concentrating on their own youngsters now because their actions don’t match with their supposed intent.
  20. Yes, but our manager he clearly backed him. tbh, I maintain he was quite poor that season despite his development later. But we didn’t really have many options to play in midfield at the time anyway. It was Mcginn, Luiz, Nakamba, Sanson and Barkley. Sanson was always injured and Nakamba only came in as a DM to sub for Luiz. Provided he beat out one of Mcginn or Barkley, he always had a spot. And Barkley’s lazyness was doing him no favors in that battle.
  21. It is quite common to have players who could not get into the starting line up for one team but can for another despite both teams being roughly on the same level. It really depends on the specific needs of the team. Jacob Ramsey isn’t a good example considering we always considered Ramsey to be good enough to challenge for a starting position ever since he first broke through seeing as his only competition was Barkley. And even if we didn’t, I don’t think his development would’ve been much worse if he were loaned to another team to get regular game time that season either.
  22. Right now? Probably Bednarek. I don’t think he’s much worse than Konsa is actually. He was ever present with Southampton. Certainly worth a shot. Doesn’t dendoncker have experience at cb too? Even if he wasn’t better, I don’t understand why there isn’t more rotation with him. He’s not a supremely better option that you can’t say the other options aren’t even worth trying at all. Perhaps that will change over time with Emery but its something that always bothered me with Smith and Gerrard. Both were more willing to drop Mings than they were Konsa. And I’m not the biggest Mings fan either.
  23. We’d probably need 50m at least to get him. I think he’s worth that. The problem is he might be looking at higher options than us.
  24. I don’t know how he keeps starting matches. Even Mings gets benched more than he does. I’ve always been of the opinion that he’s a bang average and limited defender even when people were saying he was on the verge of a callup.
