    Re the government oversight- it’s the same government that supplies the UAE and Saudis with Weapons that are then dropped on Yemen. Nothing will happen except a £100million fine and a transfer window ban. Nothing will happen because of Saud.

    We’ve been tackling very well under Emery. We lost because we made 4 catastrophic errors and they got punished. That’s unprecedented. 1 maybe 2 catastrophic errors usually get punished but not 4.

    I think they’d be a decent partnership with each other. Could work. However to emphasise your point Ollie could do the mitrovic role but Mitrovic has never been able to do the Ollie role.

    I wouldn’t mind Duran starting over Bailey. I think the competition will help if he has the mentality to battle for his place. If he shrivels and doesn’t stick around then no big loss. He needs to make the big moments in matches count.

    I agree the rule is broken. But it looked like a deflection. I’d have to see it again if he made an attempt. But the rule should be either or - there’s too much variation in potential interpretations and that’s a problem imo.

    Our player had a shot and it deflected off the defender. Dougie had plenty of time to get onside.

    On another day we go in 4-3 ahead. I think it’s going to be difficult to win from here but we have to sharpen up defensively. Worst I’ve seen us defend under Don Unai.

    I’m gonna console myself with the fact that he probably would have signed for us but went straight to Turkey as is normal practice for Villa players.

    He did pass straight in the last match- to the opposition and out of bounds. 0% passing accuracy was incredible.
