We struggle to keep the ball that’s what the real issue is. Too many players who are too slow (in prem terms) to make space and receive passes comfortably.

As I mentioned in the pre-match thread Ben white can be turned around it’s just getting Moreno in that part of the pitch to do it often enough. I believe that we can have a lot of success in that channel.

Saka is ripe for a red if any refs had the balls to send him off. Great goal by us , then Mings should have headed behind for a corner but why did Saka have 3 seconds of space in the box? Then we score one of the goals of the season. The ref is a joke Moreno was blatantly pushed in the back just before the ball came in to the box for their goal. I can’t see us holding on so we need to start keeping the ball better and they’re constantly looking for diagonal runs from wide into our box. Cash did really well for Ollie’s goal but he’s always on his heels when we have the ball. Case in point - when Kamara bought the ball down on his chest for a split second Kamara saw an easy pass on but Cash hesitates and then Boubs has to go back. These are the little things which pin us back

I’m one of Mcginns biggest critics but under Emery he’s been very good. His defensive work has improved big time.

We need to be brave though. Liverpool, Man Yoo and Arsenal are the three teams I’ve disliked the most. Arsenal’s fans are the biggest cockwombles on earth though. we win this and that bald guy on Arsenal fan tv is going to be unmissable.

Also Moreno v Tom Daley I meant Saka is going to be interesting. Can Moreno pin Saka back? Ben White has been a bit shaky recently.

I hear what you’re saying but no one has come out and said we want to challenge for the league. It’s all been about bringing European football back etc etc. When you say it out loud it’s like you finally believe it however long it takes.

Reality is we’re scared of success. The top 6 talk about winning trophies every season. That’s their goal and ambitions. We on the other hand talk about how top half and getting into the Europa League is a successful season. Standards have to be set from within the club.
