    Daichi Kamada allows us to use our funds smartly. Kamada and Kamara on a free would be an amazing duo for nothing. Yes I know big wages etc. if only we had someone who can go knock his door down and look him in the eye

    I’d hazard a guess Traoré will work out better for us than Dembele would have. However I do think we could have easily turned a profit on Dembele in the summer or beyond as @paul514 said.

    Can people stop using Newcastle as an example. They’re owned by one of the most powerful families in the world that has The protection of the USA and Britain. They are incredibly rich and a lot of their wealth isn’t even known. Man City’s owners are under their control too.

    That manager has been here for 9 league games. We’ve had years of mismanagement and then we have had to build a squad in one summer after promotion and only now we’re moving on from that. These things take time. Emery will need at least 3 more windows to get the squad how he wants it to look.

    Perfect example- Sarr would have been a Villa player for around £25m but they’ve just rejected £36m as per @useless’s post above. Madness.

    We don’t have the revenue streams of the top 6 and nor do we have the money of The Najdiyah (Newcastle) hence we have to be careful how we spend. When buying top 6 level or top 6 level potential players it’s the wages that will restrict the club going forwards. We’ve obviously tried but have been rejected. However unlike before and having to settle for the leftovers we’re going to have to try again in the summer but this time there’ll probably be more in the way of contingencies available.

    We most likely were told £50m+ and we were prepared to go to £30m or so and moved on. The news being regurgitated is probably old news and we have long since started to look elsewhere.
