we lost 2-0 to Bournemouth, but thats just semantics.

with gerrard, i was dead set on giving him last season & pre season (inc the transfer window) before i judged him, but to be brutally honest, what i have seen in these first 3 games, he needs to go, there are no excuses for the turgid football. I dont think we are anywhere near a top 8 in terms of squad quality, but the squad is more than capable of comfortable mid table, but we just look like a relegation dog fight team, its really poor. He needs to go.

Surprised to see nothing from the club if this report is true. If we agree a transfer with a club, we are usually very quick to post "Aston Villa has agreed a deal for X player, subject to medical/work permit etc". Nothing like that i can see, makes me wonder if we are as far along with this one as reported.

Sarr is back at bodymoor working on his "look me in the eye" move, along with all our other defenders and midfielders who can actually pass a ball 5 yards.

When we buy Sarr, a new central defender and another no.8, i think we will be fine just looking at the probable lineup.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. The way he stood off Zaha for the first goal was criminal. He is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard in the air so.

Bailey and sarr would be deadly as wingers/inside wingers in a 433 or 4231. The problem is System Steve doesn't play like that, so no idea what qe are doing.

I hope we play Timmy, sanson and luiz in the midfield 3. Then I can fantasise what a possession and control based midfield could look like.

Well that may be our s*** tactics then, cus Bailey is rapid. Go back and watch some of his German league highlights, the guy is a rocket ship.

i agree. He's good defensively (if he is back defending and not being told to stand by the opposition 18 yard box), but going forward he is pretty rubbish.

so whats the point in Sarr then? imagine Sarr and Bailey's pace on either wing....and we dont use them....
