  1. Aye, seems desperate to get to SHA.........did the same when he knew we were after him from the Pars. Worked for him then but who knows?.... Appealed to our club owner now for him to join SHA. Deal looks to be off so Kevin has been spared the wonderful sights of Small Heath.
  2. This is quite a mark up from what they paid Carlisle, so as he wasn't first pick this season up front it seems good business. They are after Nisbet from us but the word up here is that we knocked back their 3 million? offer as it wasn't all cash up front but based on appearances and goals scored. If they come back with more cash up front he may well go but the ball is back with SHA. This would be even better business for us as we paid the Pars £250,000 for him 6 months ago. However as someone has just said on on of our forums " Birmingham City are a nothing side now in England and he would more likely be playing in League 1 than the Premier League..." Never a truer sentence
  3. Great result and Villa battled hard against a fast pressing side...........,made up for the Burnley result and I expect Southampton fans are greetin' as to how they didn't win.......but that's football. Don't you just love VAR
  4. Good luck tonight and lets hope if Villa take the lead they concentrate , unlike the Burnley game. 'mon Villa.
  5. Cosgrove is a good strong player up here and takes a good penalty. He is from England so whether he didn't settle too well in Aberdeen, I don't know. Fairly surprised they are getting rid but financially the dons are struggling so perhaps it suits both parties. Hasn't played so much this season and only scored 3 goals where he is used as a substitute more where as last season scored 23 and started most games...........something not quite right behind the scenes I feel. A French club had a bid accepted by AFC in July this year but Cosgrove rejected their terms. Apparently they are also looking at our Kevin Nisbet for the same amount but hopefully that will go away now they have Cosgrove. Whether he settles at SHA only time will tell.
  6. Perhaps if they looked at their own song book and sectarian tripe, fans from all the other teams would let it go, plus getting back into the Scottish League by the back door in 2012. Irvine Welsh has certainly got their backs up now which is going to cost us big time ........but we enjoyed it.
  7. it does at the games when you're singing, they're not Rangers anymore.........especially at Ibrox ......watch the seethe 1 does not sound as good as 55
  8. Tell them this will be their first major title since coming into existence in 2012 as Sevco Scotland Ltd. Warning......have your tin hat on along with your running shoes
  9. Aye, they got away with a couple of things today......the stamp on Porteous by the wee scrote and a blatant push on Hallberg which should have been a penalty.......no VAR up here Having said that sevco were the better side and a win was deserved. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be but our pitch is not in good shape at present so always a leveller. Best thing was watching and listening to Irvine Welsh on Hibs TV........classic anti currant bun stuff. More annoyed at the Villa result to be honest having gone 2 . 1 up
  10. Tough game, especially as they are coming into a little bit of form. 'mon Villa, get into them. Best of luck and at least being a 6pm kick off, I can watch Villa from on top of the sofa and then hide behind it for Hibs later.
  11. Tough luck last night on both goals , especially the first. The penalty is due to the daft changes in the interpretation of the handball rule and I would imagine players are now practising flicking the ball onto defenders hands from point blank range. The offside interference was again a poor decision in my book........and believe me you see plenty of poor decisions up here. If Mings had turned and misplaced a pass which the City player received then fair enough but coming back and interfering and tackling the player in possession from goalside of him is harsh. What really astounded me is that VAR ( we don't have that luxury here ) didn't discuss it ? People from ex players, pundits, referees etc have been discussing the pros and cons of it all day but the VAR officials didn't give it a second look? Would have been different if it had happened at the other end or Man or Liverpool had been involved. You see them discussing whether someone has their big toe offside but not the incident last night......strange. A similar incident happened in the Juve game last night and the ref and linesman immediately gave offside........so not as clear cut as the official line given today by the refs association desperate to protect the officials from last night. Hopefully the players will be aggrieved and take it out in the next game, especially as it is a return of one of your favourite managers.
  12. If we'd kept Mark Milligan and Jamie Maclaren we would have had 4. Unfortunately we foolishly let them go. Look out for the dozens of "socceroo" cut outs grouped together in the West Stand.........good following down under. Seriously, don't know if its worth the stress following hibs ...........the frequent term "hibsed it " in Scottish football is used for a good reason.
  13. Can you imagine the uproar down Ibrox way if they have to call the season now due to covid making it null and void.
  14. SFA and the government re writing the rules as I speak to allow them off..............afterall they are one of the only 2 clubs in Scotland. Took a player on crutches to their "elite" training camp so I expect he had a big input. From the posted pictures they seemed to be spending a lot of time sitting by the pool, drinking lager and walking around the hotel with no social distancing and no masks.........but they won't have broken any protocols. Mind you, its the first positive thing that has happened to them in a while! We are due to play them tonight and was hoping we would make some sort of statement if they are allowed to field their first team squad. Mind you, we could play their U18s and still lose.
  15. Liverpool for me. Know some, and always banging on about how good it is to have "the good times back" and supporting them " through thick and thin" They feel that it is their right to always be at the top. Since returning to the top flight of English football in 1962 / 63 they have never finished below 8th! Unlike other football supporters, they have never known the anxiety of relegation and promotion battles and for many teams the worry that their team may even go out of existence. ..........experiences that nearly all other "top" sides fans in the Premier League have had to endure. ( Arsenal is perhaps the only exception.) For certain, many of them I know, would have given up on "their team" if they had to endure the bad times the rest of us have to go through .
  16. A side of his game that is improving. It was one side of his game that was never the strongest, at times, when he was with us and could be frustrating. His stamina also, seems to be getting back up since his injury. Great news for the Villa
  17. Great point. Good to see SJM back to his marauding best.
  18. Good luck tonight lads. Must be taking a fair bit of confidence in, so lets hope this results in 3 points. I take it Mings won't be playing after his red so lets hope you don;t miss him too much. You have shown you can do it away at the big clubs, especially as they must be having a wobble of confidence after their last few results. 'mon Villa
  19. Great result lads against a poor baggies side. Just the sort of game Villa would have lost a while ago..........times are a changing Nice to see the front guys performing well, even though the Watkins goal was unfortunate to be ruled out by VAR. Onwards and upwards
  20. Unfortunately a step up in level would be too much especially for Stephen. Paul is turning out to be a cracking right back for us but pace wise would not cope with some of the flyers in the English Premier League.................neither have the SJM arse shield and turn either
  21. Stephen and Paul both play for Hibs. Stephen is centre mid and Paul right back. They ( and John) have all scored for St Mirren and Hibernian. Don't know of any other set of three brothers to all score for 2 clubs? ......"we've got Mcginns"......
  22. Aye, has done well in these leagues. Was with Hibs for a season but seemed to struggle and never a fans favourite. Pleased for him since he left.
