  1. Think England will win quite comfortably, especially having seen the Jocks back line against the czechs. They will create some chances but unless he plays Adams from the start, will again struggle to finish any of them. If Tierney is indeed fit, that will be a big plus for them. Hope Southgate plays Jack as he will certainly run at the Scots ..........just watch the panic..........plus it would be interesting to see him tussle with SJM Hoping for a good entertaining game with best of luck to both sides...................me?.........I'm Welsh so don't care too much on the result. Cymru am byth. ( hope the thousands of the Tartan Army who have travelled behave, especially as there is no designated fan zone for them)
  2. Aye, probably tried the drive "up North" again, and started to get a nose bleed around Burnley so turned round and headed back to the South coast.
  3. Well done to the Perth Saints. Fully deserved victory today. Pleased for the ex Hibees, Craig, Booth, Wotherspoon and Middleton. To win the Cup double, up here, when everything is dominated by the uglies is a fantastic achievement and am pleased for Callum Davidson, who in his first year as manager achieved this. As for Hibs, if you know anything about their history, this has happened to them through the decades at Hampden, so not totally surprising that we never showed up today. If you look at the last 9 years we have made the Scottish Cup Final 4 times along with 2 semi finals plus throw in a League Cup Final and a couple more semi finals and have won just once..........this is what makes 21/5/16 so special and surprising and will live in their folklore history forever. The saying "to Hibs it" up here, is not without foundation. We have played st J 6 times this season, lost the last 4 and not scored a goal against them but Jack Ross still plays his Plan A........not the man for the big game I am afraid!
  4. Need more that talented scouts I'm afraid ...........money talks
  5. At the stage in his career where he needs a long term contract where he can develop fully and progress.
  6. Standing back from personal feelings, just rating them as footballers. Kent is certainly one of those players that gets fans off their backsides when on the ball and when you play against them you hope that isn't too often.
  7. Promising but has to develop and add more goals to his game. Had a good game against us. Obviously don't see as much of him as the other two. Think he has enjoyed working with Jim Goodwin who I rate highly.
  8. Opinions eh Having watched a lot of them I know who I'd want in my side .
  9. Good player but not ready for the English Premier League yet.........don't think he would improve your midfield at present. Still only 21 so time yet to develop his strength. Best midfielder up here is Ryan Kent of sevco.
  10. 21 / 05 / 16..........Remember that day forever. Never be beaten as a football supporter , for me. ( even better than that night in Rotterdam) John no doubt will be watching his brother Paul to see if he can emulate him.
  11. Aye, Callum Davidson in his first season as manager has got them into a good solid unit and seems able to get them to win the important games. No great individual stars ( a number are Hibs " rejects "!) but work well together. If they win the Scottish Cup having already won the League Cup this season then Davidson will become their most successful manager in his first season. Their team spirit sometimes reminds me of the "crazy gang" Wimbledon days, fighting above their weight. As I said before they are a bit of a "bogey" side for us so I have no great expectations for the Final. ( already beaten us 3.0 in the League Cup semi this season at Hampdump) I bet they wish it was being held at Easter Road to allow fans in, as we haven't won against them there since 2012. Anyway good luck to them as they are side doing well on a very limited budget even when compared to the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs etc in Scotland, let alone the 2 arse cheeks of Glasgow.
  12. It seems that they will allow some fans in, but I suspect only about 3k. By the time all the sponsors guests and hangers on have got theirs then there won't be many left for the true fans. Still, nothing can ever better 2016 so don't mind going down the pubs ( 2 hour slot in The Tam and then the Persevere just down the road in case of extra time)...........................plus St J are our "bogey team" so probably better we aren't there. We'll almost certainly "Hibs" it.
  13. Congratulations to the Perth Saints for knocking sevco out of the Scottish Cup last night. Now threy are in line to win both Cup competitions this season............awesome feat in this moneyed "uglies" League. They have one of the poorest bugets in the SPL and miles behind the 2 arse cheeks. Special mention to Zander Clark who had a superb goalkeeping performance in normal time , then going up for the final corner and his header in the last seconds of extra time led to the equaliser before making 2 penalty saves in the shootout.........the second being an outstanding save from Roofe, as it was not a good height for him. One has to wonder at the sevco defensive set up when they allow a guy in bright green, standing 6 foot 3 to stand 3 yards out in the middle of the goal and not mark him! Great to see the "look" on Gerrards face. Great that since their formation they haven't won a Cup competition except for the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer.................and we don't count the wee, wee, cup............and all that money spent
  14. Aye, most of their songbook revolves about sectarianism. .........I bet they cannot wait to be " up to their knees in Fenian blood" again. Mind you Celtic fans are no better.
  15. Its been there for a long time and did wonder why..............perhaps its Bruce trying to get them into the SPL as he thinks he may win something.
  16. Pity a perfectly good goal by Ryan Porteous was chalked off ..........for nothing in particular........otherwise the dynamic of the game could have changed . Where's VAR Anyway we have come to expect poor ref decisions at Ibrox ( as do all clubs) .........the kick by Hagi to Newells head in the last game by the penalty spot with nothing given is still the best. Mind you the retrospective red card for Morelos for stamping Porteous at Easter Road didn't help us, as he scored the winner later in the game, comes a close second. Gerrard certainly knows how to keep the refs in check. Certainly sevco are the best team in the League but don't get me starte................................ GGTTH
  17. If Howe goes there then Desmond wants Richard Hughes from Bournemouth as Director of football.
  18. Haven't been on the Smeltic forums to see what they think, but as said, it will be a huge cultural shock. He has spent his entire playing and managerial career at Bournemouth apart from a couple of games for Pompey. Has to consider family life as he cannot commute to Glasgow. He will also get no time to settle in as the green faithful will want the side to hit the ground running and he will have to match or better Sevco right from the first game. Pressure on him from the word go will be huge.
  19. Slightly surprised when looking at his League stats. Played 101 League games for us and scored 12 goals. For Villa he has 93 games and scored 10 times. Thought he scored a lot more for Hibs but so far has shown a similar strike rate for Villa. Even when at St Mirren he played just under 90 games but only scored 4 times. However, goals have dried up somewhat once Villa got back to the Premier League . Much higher class of League of course and certainly since the injury, the jury must be out as to how far he will go in this League...........but his stats show he has never been a prolific goal scorer.
  20. So it should and hopefully if the comment can be substantiated then Prague should have the book thrown at them. Beating the player up in the tunnel was perhaps not the best move but understandable in a way with feeling running high. Not the first time sevco have "bounced" czechs or should that be cheques! I wonder if sevco will now look at their sectarian songbook and take it more seriously and take action when their fans start spouting their pish and insults...........same goes for the other arse cheek in Glasgow.........................not holding my breath!
  21. At least the fans would be so busy fighting amongst themselves they wouldn't smash up all the English cities...........Manchester 2008
  22. https://www.hmfckickback.co.uk/index.php?/topic/191747-rangers-league-win-merged/page/9/#comments Expand and learn the new sevco firework code Would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
  23. Anybody on here also at Villa Park in 1976 when the Glasgow Rangers game had to be abandoned after some of the worst violence seen at Villa Park.........................and in the 70s that is saying something. I remember going to the Den in that era and that seemed like a cake walk
