The more I see the goal the more I think Salah is offside. He’s directly in front of Emi. I’m still not 100% he’s offside but I wonder was it checked.

What a move that is for him! I’ve always liked Davis, always gave 100%! Always reminded my of Heskey, not the most talented but I think can be very effect in the right system!

I’d like to see one more quality addition, a versatile attacker with a bit of speed. We are going to look a different team when JJ and Moreno are back on the left side so no major surgery required. Also Kellyman is free scoring at the moment so could be used if required.

I think the red for VVD was harsh. And the second yellow for TAA would have been a joke, the first was harsh as he threw the ball back on to the field. How many fouls has Jolinton committed? I still don’t think he’s been yellow carded.

Like many others have said his wages alone are a real issue for us, much like Digne. If we can offload him and maybe get a fee too it would be great business.

I’d loved to have seen Cam lead the line for us but you can’t fault the business we’re doing here. Decent fee for Cam, Ramsey and Chuck in the last 12 months. This is why a good and functional academy is worth so much to a club. These guys are pure profit and if they take off in the next few years we can sign CA and AR back.

I don’t want this to sound like a negative comment but I really hope we play Emi in goal for this one. I don’t think Olsen is as bad as most make out but we need a steady pair of hands and a commanding lead from the first leg. Will be great to see SJM lead the team out at his old home. A proper triumphant return for him!

I don’t agree with the sale of Digne but I understand it. Clearly No 1 LB is Moreno so holding another player on big wages doesn’t make sense. If we can get a good replacement for less wages and a smaller transfer fee I think it makes sense!

He’s a really exciting player with bags of potential but after his performances for City I think they will keep him around.

I’m going to say this, as much for myself as for everyone else. But this is Emery’s first real transfer window. I had convinced myself that because we finished so well last season the window would be a quiet one but Unai is trying to find players that suits his style so a more active window was always available on the cards. I expect we will get Zaniolo and Acuna but I’d think there could be at least two more signings after than. Another attaching option and a versatile player who can fill in in a few positions.
