  1. Iirc only a certain number are fed back live at any one time from all the cameras on all the cars for use in the live broadcasts. I think it's about 30 total. But all the cameras are recording the entire time so they all get downloaded and FOM/FIA will have the onboard footage we want to see now. If it doesn't come out before next race it'll pretty darn suspicious.
  2. Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. Maybe Dougie is a lesbian too
  3. Oh yeah I agree completely. That is just one string to the bow of man management, different people respond to different methods so you need to be capable of using many to be successful. I just meant that in the case of Morelos and similar players, Gerrard has the 'fear factor' required for them to respond well.
  4. As childish as it is, I think having a manager where there is the element of doubt of whether or not he could batter you always helps with dressing room unrest. Obviously not all top managers have it but a lot of them do and some people/players only seem to respond to that kind of presence.
  5. Do you have a link for this? The stories about him being laughed at by all the players for stuff like that seem to have been pushed by a Liverpool journalist that Purslow blackballed during his time at the club. It's not out of the realm of possibility that they're true, but to me the little anecdotes read like bitter fiction from the imagination of someone with an axe to grind.
  6. Craig 'boyhood fan of every club in the world' Gardner. As dim as he is ugly. An impressive feat considering he's world class in both disciplines.
  7. He's actually a boyhood fan. That accent is just put on, he's really from Sutton Coldfield.
  8. Charlie Adam ages at twice the rate of a normal man, he was 50 by the time he was 25. Based on that he may have dementia in his old age now he's 70
  9. Did villareport tell you that? You can't trust what they say, they're full of ****
  10. It's not my only gripe but it's a constant annoying gripe. I don't own shares in Villa so my only personal gain from Villa is enjoyment and if I'm constantly being annoyed by the fact their manager is permanently on the verge of **** off then that is going to be somewhat hampered. If he was so good he could offset the annoyingness of constant Liverpool media wanking then I'd be happy but he'd have to be significantly better than any other possible candidate which I don't think there is enough evidence for that just because he whooped Neil Lennon in a two horse race.
  11. Maybe, maybe not but he at least wouldn't have it as his main aim when he took the job, he hasn't stated that it is his "dream" and he won't have a tedious love in about taking that job the entire time with their sycophantic, overbearing presence in every media outlet. Derby being exclusively referred to as Frank Lampard's Derby for his entire time there and the constant mentions of him moving to Chelsea was **** irritating for me and I don't even like Derby. And they weren't even in the same league!
  12. To completely win me over and me not have a nagging feeling about him not really wanting to be here and wanting to leave as soon as possible he'd have to go back in time and not say things like this about managing another club in our league who will have a managerial vacancy in a few years time at the latest. “Would I love to be the coach of Liverpool one day? Is it a dream? Of course." For me the bell can't be unrung and I'd always see his tenure as a short stop while he waits for the job he really wants. If he is appointed I will support him fully obviously (and pray the Beale hype is real) but it just won't be the same feeling as having someone in charge who is doing their dream job as well as taking us forward. We've had it so good the last 3 years. Edit - The middle ground of a manager like Favre who has no affinity to Villa or any other club in the league is far preferable to me.
  13. Shame David Cameron wouldn't be there trying to figure out why we'd want to replace David Moyes after the job he's done.
  14. Part of the gamble was hiring a manager who had his eyes firmly set on another job before he even joined them and would 100% certainly jump as soon as possible. If they'd had a manager that would stick around after that season they'd have been far better off imho
  15. Whose contract ends in a few years, has said he definitely won't renew and already has a track record of a period of massive achievement followed by an awful season when the entire squad is burnt out. If that happens at Liverpool like it did at Dortmund Gerrard would be sending his CV if he'd been with us a year, a month or even 10 minutes. We'd literally be a stop gap in his eyes.
  16. I know what you mean but I'm kinda serious. Having a manager be a success for a few months and looking to leave us isn't an upside long term. We'd be like Derby under Frank, dumped to rebuild as soon as their goal job is available.
  17. There is no upside to appointing him. Either he's a success and looks to move on asap and leaves us to rebuild again or he's a failure
  18. I think the Grealish thing was especially galling with the context that WE had just managed to keep Giannis in the much more level playing field of the NBA. Signed him up to a big new deal and won the championship. Compared to having the current best team with unlimited budget taking our best player only to sometimes leave him as an unused sub probably really knocked the enthusiasm he had for investing in such an unfair sport.
  19. Conversely I think he'll end the season with 15+ G+A and only get better once he's up to full fitness. The only thing scaring me is that Traore has been here for 16 months and we still haven't managed to get him to full fitness
  20. The reaction in the second half was not enough to redeem the performance. Sacking a manager because of 5 results is shortsighted but when 4 of the performances have been as poor as the last four have been (in large part) it's easier to come to that conclusion. I think the main problem is that Smith is a manager of evolution not revolution and after Grealish left so late in the window we were in need of a playing style revolution. It's not inconceivable that he could turn it around but it no longer seems like the most likely route to success.
  21. Danks has joined as well. Seems to be highly regarded
  22. There's a tweet video floating about of one of their players being led away from a club in handcuffs. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's related to this.
