  1. I don't think we necessarily need to sack Bruce, just for gods sake set up the team to let them play football. It was embarrassing to see how our only tactic in the first half was to kick it long to the right for Elmo to head it forward to Kodjia. They noticed after 5 min and dubbled up, we didn't create anything with that tactic, nevertheless we continued with it. In Grealish, McGinn, Green etc, we have players who can play, so we don't have to play this way.
  2. We play a much weaker team, still we play with a defensive midfielder and our only attacking tactic is to kick it long to Kodjia/Elmo. Despite being one more from the middle of the first half we countinue with this set up and tactic until the 65th minute. After that we make changes and start to pass the ball in the middle and create a lot of chances. Why oh why can't we set up like that and pass the ball from the start?!? When we are one more on the pitch we must take advantage of that by passing the ball around, not continuing to kick it long for them to just clear. It's once again points dropped because of bad decisions from the management.
  3. You're probably right, it might have been the pre season you tube games I was thinking about... Fingers crossed that it works well tomorrow!
  4. I think he should be fased in as a wide forward, playing him as the lone striker is unfair to him at this level if we dont play a tikka takka passing style, which we wont be doing. He is too short and too weak to be a target player and play on his own. As a wide forward I think he can be an instant hit with his pace and trickery.
  5. Is it only me or is it no longer possible to watch replays of the whole matches? I looked at the Wigan page and with their iFollow you can see replays of the games, why don't we have that? It's quite frustrating. Considering signing up for the Wigan iFollow and pay £5 to see the Wigan game... it's a shame we can't provide that! Or hopefully I'm mistaken and there is someway I can see it on AVTV?
  6. I didn't have any problems at all last season either, worked really well for me, though the commentary wasn't that great and if I remember correct there were no replays which is quite bad.
  7. Wonderful to see us come back and get a win, it shows good spirit in the team! I couldn't see the game, does anyone know a way to see a rerun of the whole game?
  8. The soft part of me feel a little bit sorry for him, despite being the biggest owner it's like he is completely sidestepped, he didn't even announce any of the signings on twitter!
  9. Bizarre running style and the strongest bum known to man, I'm really looking forward to seeing him play!!! *and runs like he is chasing a helicopter
  10. He chose another club instead of us, so he can **** off. And by leaving it late he makes it more difficult for us to sign someone else, for that he can **** off again. (but if you change your mind you're welcome back ? )
  11. Welcome Johnny boy! It says a lot when a player gets so much praise from fans and manager and leaves on good terms. It will be interesting to see where he will play. Looks like left CM in the 4-1-4-1/4-3-3 we play would suit him, though thats where Jack plays. I'm very excited by this signing, and at that fee it seems to be super business, way to go Brucie and the new owners! Also, I love it when other teams fans come on to the forum and share their views, must say the Hibs fans have been the best bunch yet! Already have a sweet spot for Hibs. And agree that Edinburg is a lovely city!
  12. If Jack goes, at least his haircut will remain.
  13. Warmly welcome! I love Norwegians, only thing that is better than a Norwegian is a Norwegian in a Villa shirt!
  14. You think rationally and speak sense mate, but it crushes my dreams of him being the chosen one who will take us back to the top of the Premier League and bring balance to the force.
  15. I cant remember any other player who has had so much affection and love from the fans. Playing away from home and the only thing you could hear between mins 80-85 were songs about Jack and how much we want him to stay. It's just amazing.
  16. Perhaps you are right, but I didn't see that. If he knew he is leaving then it was probably difficult for him to make more of it and holding back tears would make sense. I hope I'm right and you wrong though ?
  17. I very glad we stuck to the settled 4-1-4-1, well done Bruce! Compared to the first game away last season we pressed higher up and looked more comfortable. We still don't have much ideas going forward, mostly kicking it out wide and then long ball in the channel. Though I thought I noticed at times in the first half that we tried to pass the ball as well, too bad it was no movement in the middle. I think the players know this system and feel comfortable with it. With Green and perhaps RHM getting more game time we will be more energetic as well. I think what we need the most is a new CB to partner Chester when Elfie is injured.
  18. The saved on the shot that then was off side was world class, and was quick out of his line on a couple of times to save us. Very good game imo.
  19. I don't think (hope) he would have played if it was 100% that he is going. I didn't notice anything unusual with his reaction when he came off. I'd say it was a typical Jack performance, the only midfielder who wants the ball and keeps the ball, trying to go forward, drew numerous fouls while doing it. That Hendriksson should have been sent off for all his fouls on Jack. His corner for the first goal was first class as well. Now please stay!
  20. I thought it was a comfortable win. Good to see that we continued with 4-1-4-1, could see that we had a settled formation compared to Hull.
  21. The fans were absolutely fantastic, could hear them sing all game, and the Grealish songs towards the end were thrilling. Poor Hull, so many empty seats!! Green looked really bright, and good to see RHM get some time as well. Delighted for Hutton!!
  22. It was fun to see Lichajs crab style running again!
  23. It was an entertaining half at times, nice to see that we are pressing hugh, compared to the first away games last season. We still dont have much of a plan going forward, it's out wide to the full backs and a long ball in the channel.
  24. I'd love to have Rafa, but if we want free flowing football I dont think he's the right man. Would be more of the keep tight at the back and nick a goal tactics, just on a higher level than Brucie.
