  1. Abraham please please please!! He can play as a lone striker and hold up the line, would be a perfect fit! And could play Kodjia as a wide forward where he has played really well for us before. Make it happen! And then a new CB and I will be over the moon!
  2. On the youtube videos it looks like he is more playing as a wide forward than a normal winger, that's promising! No more RB as our most forward player on the wing but a proper wide forward. Looks like he can play on both sides as well. Seems to have great technique and takes free kicks as well, reminds me a little of Ronaldo the way he plays. Very excited about this one, get it done!!
  3. If he is back to full fitness this is a super signing. I saw that he played 16 times last year, but only 3 full games. It's a bit of a worry what shape he is in. It seems a bit odd that Everton would spunk out nearly £30M on a player and then loan him out if he is back to full fitness. It's a bit of a gamble, for me it's 50/50 if he will be a hit or if he will be injured/out of form and be a new Micah Richards. In that case we will have wasted much in wages. I do think it's worth the risk though, not at least because he is such an exciting player to watch, he makes things happen. And I trust the ppl at the club making the judgement that he is in good shape. I thought Everton massively overspent on him, but he is still a very good player. I also think he fits in to our style of play. Although I would rather have seen a player who is a good passer and good at keeping possession, the direct style of play we have probably suits Bolasie very well, kick it towards his side and let him run with it and see what happens. All in all, incredible if we manage to loan a £30M player!!! Who would have thought that a month ago. Now I'm just waiting for Tony to announce it with a cryptic tweet!
  4. Yes! Then we could field a midfield of the new Gazza, El Gazza and McGazza.
  5. I'd be happy for them to pay his wages while he is injured, which he probably will be most part of the season.
  6. He didn't have much to do, but he was solid today. I wonder if playing him as cb contributed to us playing so many long balls, I didn't see us play it out from the back a lot. Could be because we don't trust Jedi with the ball in the build up. A shame if so.
  7. He looked good the first minutes as a wide right forward, had two threatening runs. Disappeared after he was switched to central striker. Can't understand why we changed his position while it looked like working.
  8. The picture quality was good and worked without disruptions for me. But still, it's so amature. Several times the ball goes out of picture, strange zooming, camera focus on the corner flag/linesman. Also had to watch the whole game without sound as the commentary was ahead of the picture. And no replays!
  9. Man of the match for me, excellent performance! How much energy does he have? Around the 85th minuted he made a long run tracking back and made a last ditch tackle. A couple of minutes later he burst forward past a couple of players and nearly scored. I love him already!
  10. I am at the moment not for sacking Bruce (as I wrote in my previous post) so I guess that makes me a "Bruce inner" . I certainly do not look through this thread in dispair shaking my head. I think it is really interesting to share views on Bruce's tactics for example, especially after a showing like today's. I hope others do as well and are not disencouraged to post about it, critical or not of Bruce.
  11. I think we had a plan B, the way we played after the substitutions. The problem for me is that plan B should have been our plan A. I'm confident we should have won the game if our players had 90 mins to play, not just the last 25.
  12. Did he get criticised for not coming out on crosses last game? Perhaps he had learned and tried to much to come out this time, and did it one time too much. It was a mistake, but not a disaster. Can't remember him having anything else to do, so difficult to judge him yet. I thought his kicking was really good, and he tried to start attacs quickly a couple of times as well which was good to see. For me the jury is still out on him.
  13. I don't think we necessarily need to sack Bruce, just for gods sake set up the team to let them play football. It was embarrassing to see how our only tactic in the first half was to kick it long to the right for Elmo to head it forward to Kodjia. They noticed after 5 min and dubbled up, we didn't create anything with that tactic, nevertheless we continued with it. In Grealish, McGinn, Green etc, we have players who can play, so we don't have to play this way.
  14. We play a much weaker team, still we play with a defensive midfielder and our only attacking tactic is to kick it long to Kodjia/Elmo. Despite being one more from the middle of the first half we countinue with this set up and tactic until the 65th minute. After that we make changes and start to pass the ball in the middle and create a lot of chances. Why oh why can't we set up like that and pass the ball from the start?!? When we are one more on the pitch we must take advantage of that by passing the ball around, not continuing to kick it long for them to just clear. It's once again points dropped because of bad decisions from the management.
  15. You're probably right, it might have been the pre season you tube games I was thinking about... Fingers crossed that it works well tomorrow!
  16. I think he should be fased in as a wide forward, playing him as the lone striker is unfair to him at this level if we dont play a tikka takka passing style, which we wont be doing. He is too short and too weak to be a target player and play on his own. As a wide forward I think he can be an instant hit with his pace and trickery.
  17. Is it only me or is it no longer possible to watch replays of the whole matches? I looked at the Wigan page and with their iFollow you can see replays of the games, why don't we have that? It's quite frustrating. Considering signing up for the Wigan iFollow and pay £5 to see the Wigan game... it's a shame we can't provide that! Or hopefully I'm mistaken and there is someway I can see it on AVTV?
  18. I didn't have any problems at all last season either, worked really well for me, though the commentary wasn't that great and if I remember correct there were no replays which is quite bad.
  19. Wonderful to see us come back and get a win, it shows good spirit in the team! I couldn't see the game, does anyone know a way to see a rerun of the whole game?
  20. The soft part of me feel a little bit sorry for him, despite being the biggest owner it's like he is completely sidestepped, he didn't even announce any of the signings on twitter!
  21. Bizarre running style and the strongest bum known to man, I'm really looking forward to seeing him play!!! *and runs like he is chasing a helicopter
  22. He chose another club instead of us, so he can **** off. And by leaving it late he makes it more difficult for us to sign someone else, for that he can **** off again. (but if you change your mind you're welcome back ? )
  23. Welcome Johnny boy! It says a lot when a player gets so much praise from fans and manager and leaves on good terms. It will be interesting to see where he will play. Looks like left CM in the 4-1-4-1/4-3-3 we play would suit him, though thats where Jack plays. I'm very excited by this signing, and at that fee it seems to be super business, way to go Brucie and the new owners! Also, I love it when other teams fans come on to the forum and share their views, must say the Hibs fans have been the best bunch yet! Already have a sweet spot for Hibs. And agree that Edinburg is a lovely city!
