Not sure there's been that many clubs in a mess such as ours. Its a hell of a job to take on, but he has identified players that we all agree have improved the team, it's literally just a matter of time before we start killing this league, but it will take time, might even be next season, it takes a lot more then shifting a few of the poison on and bringing in a few, a lot of the poison is still there that couldn't get shifted. The club is trying to shift this losing mentality and you can see it's starting to turn. I'm quite excited to see how the seasons going to end and what happens next summer with RDM in charge.

Ask Brighton last season, 21 match unbeaten run start of the season, other teams, boro and Burnley nowhere to be seen.... Who goes and gets promoted, Boro and Burnley.

This! Also saw a post saying RDM is too defensive... Aren't we one of the teams to have created the most chances?! I think the guys doing pretty well (results obviously do matter), come January we will no doubt sign a few more midfielders and then storm up the table, probably even get third. Some of the football we've played has been brilliant, some of it hasn't, however, there's goals in this side, and they will come.

Yep, this league is nuts, that gap is tiny still, I don't think Newcastle will run away with it, I imagine they will also at some point in the season win 1 in 7. As I've said previously, in this division you can be bottom at Christmas and still get promoted.

As things stand we would only be 6 points behind Newcastle and 7 points off the top, promotion is completely on course, RDM is doing brilliant with a brand new team IMO, Newcastle aren't that great, let's not get carried away by a few results.

Absolutely spot on. You don't even have to steam roller this league tho, its very topsy turvy, I honestly hand on heart believe Villa will be in the top 4, specially playing how they have been, regardless of the current results.

One was a long range shot which on another occasion goes over the bar, the second the guy got lucky twice with the ball bobbling up and it somehow luckily bounced to their player, sure it could've been prevented, but it was also pretty unfortunate!

I disagree, having followed Brighton in the championship, this league is mental, you can be in the bottom at Christmas and still get promoted come May, it's crazy tight.

Madness, he's IMO a very good manager. You don't get to manage Chelsea even on a caretaker basis without having something about you.

Let's put this into perspective, Brighton are going to be in the playoffs, and we are only 2 points behind them, still every chance Villa could win the league, IMO we have been playing some really good stuff, just a few unlucky goals conceded can completely change things, but as I said, Brighton will be up there and we are only 2 points behind them. We are ten points behind Huddersfield but we will finish above them, long long season with many twists to come.

Really starting to see his potential and why he was signed now, he looks like a transformed player this season.

Not sure what more RDM can do, he's assemble a good team on paper, they still need at least another month together to start gelling, we have dominated nearly all our games, peppered the opposing teams goal, there's literally not much more he can do, a few goal keeping errors cost us some points but that will happen to all teams. I've been really encouraged and impressed by what he is doing, if it doesn't click in the next 5 games then fine ok, then we can start getting agitated, but for now, support him and the team, I think those who are complaining will be eating your words soon.

Actually excited by this signing the most, imagine what he could potentially do this season with this team around him. we've got two prolific strikers who played in teams that didn't do great last season, very exciting. Plus Gestede knows where the net is at this level, and Ayew was pretty good for us last year considering.

Or the Brighton fans, missing out on promotion by goal difference.
