Actually think this could be the best appointment we have made in over ten years, he's certainly a well decorated manager which cannot be denied. He's young, managed at the highest level, will have money to burn (supposedly), and if he balls up, he'll probably get sacked sharpish, don't think the Dr will tolerate failure.

I think he thinks if he can make a success of Villa then not only could he make billions in return if Aston Villa were to become the biggest English or European team in China, but it could as seen already, bump up the share prices in his other business's, thus making Recon an absolute fortune, all within his ten year plan.

If what is being said by Xia is true, and we get RDM and he has up to 50 million to spend on players to get us out of the championship, imo you can buy a hell of a lot of top quality championship players with that, we will definitely be up near the top end of the table, and if we aren't, then I can't imagine Xia not taking some sort of action, unlike Lerner. All in all, next seasons going to be pretty damn enjoyable for the most part.

I'd be happy with any of the three mentioned, but I do think Moyes would be more a statement of intent, I think he is of a slightly higher pedigree.

I remember the season after Friedel left I think it was and Guzan came into the first team, I remember him being an incredible shot stopper, and being responsible for saving us loads of points in a season.... What the hell happened to him?! He has been absolute awful this season. Surely no premier league club would want him as their first choice given the chance.

Well this got depressing quick! Personally I think this is going to be a great thing for the club, and I look forward to Dr Tony making Aston Villa a global force again.

Wasn't he a billionaire yesterday with 100 billion turnover or something from his companies and a space launch program, now he is borrowing money?! Don't honestly know what's going on, I'm pretty positive everything is above board tho, hopefully he is a multi-billionaire who wants to make Villa one of the worlds top clubs, where his money comes from, that's up to him.

So with this takeover, does it mean that player wages are no longer much of an issue and we can attract decent calibre players? Would Gareth Barry be a good shout?Sure he would be interested.

Hey guys, my names Tom and although not from Birmingham, I'm originally from Brighton hence the title, I've been supporting villa since I was about 8 years old, I loved the nickname, I adored the players, Dalian Atkinson, Ray houghton, Steve Staunton and Andy Townsend, I remember be super excited when Stan Collymore's signed, I still miss the days of Jaun Pablo Angel, I grew up wanting to be Nigel Spink!
