  1. He's doing a great job and it shows with our points tally since he took over. He has got us playing as a team again and you can tell all the players are invested in his way of playing. Looking forward to the rest of the season but even more so for next season with the right additions were going places
  2. Great 3 points, thought the ref did well and got their goal rightly chalked off for the studs on JJ's ankle. 3 wins away on the bounce, more possession and chances created than previously 100℅ heading in the right direction. UTV
  3. Being from north Walsall always had mates who supported the saddlers so went to a fair amount of Walsall games when Villa played away
  4. Love this player, reads the game excellently keeps things simple keeps things moving and rarely gives the ball away. That's some going in the red hot pace of the Premier League
  5. Yeah looked good going forward, a few mix ups in play but to be expected having trained only a few times before the match. Think he'll do very well once settled in with his new team mates
  6. After last nights game you can see why Unai is after him. Along side Kamara he will give us the protection we currently lack and free the wide forwards up to do their thing
  7. Not a great performance but an effective one. Can see the change in mentality Unai is trying to instill. Bailey does one thing really well (the goal) then the next 4 or 5 moves He stuffs up. Thought we looked comfortable at 2 - 0 and could have added more but for poor finishing/decision making. Kamara motm all day long what a Classy player. Good start for the new signing and will only get better as will the team as we continue under the smart tutelage of Unai
  8. Our biggest manager signing since MON, hopefully we have more luck in cup finals than his team did.if Unai can pick a trophy up early doors I think we will take off which is obviously what our owners are desperate for in time with the stadium plans
  9. I agree Blanch they have some cracking smaller bands on as well as some of the bigger bands on their way over East
  10. Who who are ya? Biggest crowd for 84 years 19k, they would fit in the Holte End
  11. Heading over for two weeks so will catch the two United games, no pressure Unai
  12. Wasn't a surprise just a pity we shipped 4 to a well drilled but average side. A lot of work for the new boss but he has the experience that the previous boss was lacking in
  13. Yep couldn't hide his delight at Wilson scoring a pen especially with Mings as one of the defenders.
  14. I must have watched a different game as I thought they were average we just made them look good
  15. Looks the business and exactly what we've needed for ages. Continuous movement and excellent ball retention think he's going to be massive for us
  16. Like most on VT I think he is a cracking little player and we look more of a threat when he's on the pitch
  17. Great night last night in Raffles meeting a few faces from back home. Hopefully we get a good game today and finish the tour off in style for all our Aussie fans
  18. Yeah a few of us are heading down to Raffles on Friday then meeting at the Globe Saturday as it's the first pub off the train in the City a few stops from the ground. Hopefully see a few fellow lions there.
  19. 12:45am in Oz but still pumped, never gonna sleep now especially after 7 mins injury time. The owners sound like they mean business so onwards and upwards. UTV
  20. Scrum and will never change as nothing ever gets done about it.
  21. At the time I thought the ref should have stopped the game. When he Bottled it Smith should have walked the Villa players off And left it for the EFL to sort it out. But they played on and I think both teams were unsettled by the incident. When McGinn came on it was a different game. Villa started playing through blues who couldn't cope with the movement. super Jack scored and we should/could have got another. However 1 goal aS enough and so glad it was Super Jack. Come on Villa follow up Wednesday
  22. Just need a better start to the season than last year. A win Saturday will give the players a confidence boost and along with Terry's experience we will go on a roll
  23. 1-0 Villa don't know who will score, more than likely a defender from a set piece.
  24. RIP GT a real gentleman and saved us from freefall. Used to see him from time to time at the plough and arrow with his Mrs, always had time for a quick chat and still loved the Villa.
