6'7" defenders aren't too common

He is making too many mistakes but bear in mind that we haven't exactly had a settled back 4 yeat which makes it difficult for him to trust/know what to expect from them. He is young, coming from a team that were just about as crap as us finishing bottom in the italian league so doub't he is going to be completely full of confidence anyway but the constantly changing defence isn't going to help him in any way (bacuna/elphick/chester/cissokho have played 3 times in which we only conceeded the one fluke/poorly kicked huddersfield goal, the rest of the games have been a bit of a jumble) He needs to work on positioning from free-kicks though, more than the individual mistakes this is something that can be worked on & sorted out quickly and his positioning & setting up of the wall has been absolutely terrible so far, luckily only 1 goal has come from it but this is down to tohers poor shooting more than anything else

For what its worth i do think that having a completely new set-up both on the pitch & off it will mean that things take a bit of time to click. 6 Of the starting line-up yesterday were not even villa players a month ago and most of the players we have signed didn't really play a great deal of regular football last year. Elphick/Tshibola were injured most of the season, De Laet played 22 games combined for leicester & boro, Gollini played 26 times in a team that were as bad as us finishing bottom of the italian league with only 5 wins all season, Jedinak played 27 league games for palace & chester managed 12 league hgames. I think the players are probably right for what we need now with lots of strong characters but it is going to take a while to get then playing in some sort of cohesive system for what is pretty much a continual game every 4 days rotation when they simply haven't even been used to playing at all, never mind twice per week with a completely new team

only real concern so far is the speed he is picking up yellow cards. Could be a tight competition at the end of the season between number of goals & number of cards

He was absolute dogshit last year, He broke up more united attacks than any opposition players combined. Way past it now and would honestly rather have Westwood in the team.

No idea why but i just don't like Ron Perlmans head so as much as i actually like the look of Sons Of Anarchy i will never watch it. Other than Hellboy where you can't see his noggin i generally avoid anything he is in. Same goes for Kiefer Sutherland and his stupid ears which stopped me watching 24 & generally anything else he is in although i will make exceptions when rewatching Lost Boys, Stand by me & Dark City from time to time
