    I mean, it's fairly clear to me that that image is a classic case of a news outfit taking an image out of context, tweaking the contrast perhaps, and promoting it as evidence of something it isn't. I hate that sort of thing, always have, and I don't care what "side" promotes this sort of misleading propaganda. It doesn't mean that the Russian authorities aren't evil fascists. It just means that this particular image doesn't really represent what the news outlet is claiming.

    In the comments someone has shown that those pics are Russian police cadets, and when you see the pictures in a natural light they look nothing like Nazi outfits and aren't even black. And the armbands seem like temporary additions maybe just indicating the marching rows or something.

    Both semi finals were brilliant in different ways. I fear that the final is likely to a damp squib though. It often is after good semi finals.

    Could well be with Ronnie looking like going 15-9 up and playing like this, but I'd never discount Higgins - he is like granite at times, just never gives in.

    What bothers me most is... I wanted to find out who the lady referee is, so I went to Google and typed the word "female" and the first suggestion offered to me at that point was "female snooker referee". Highly worrying... But correct though.

    The commentators said about eight or nine times "this is a tough shot" or "how will he get position from this" and every time he just made it look so simple.

    He may be losing 3-1, but that last frame by Ronnie was something else. When he's in the zone he really is like nobody else, it's just mesmerising watching him.
