  1. As if he is not under enough pressure as it is. Fair play to Remi for remaining dignified. He'll be off in the Summer thinking "thank goodness I got out" The club gets worse each week.
  2. Well Remi you will upset players if you disrupt Butlins Heath. What a mess we are. Get this season over with ASAP.
  3. I can feel a 6-2 coming on! Bring on Cowans!
  4. For me Remi is the only one conducting himself in a manner that I would expect for this club: with dignity and respect. It's a shame it does not transmit to the pitch or boardroom.
  5. We are down. I really hope this gives us the kick up the backside we need.
  6. Randy Lerner needs to change his name..to call him randy would imply he has some passion or dare I say "spunk". He ain't got shit! Needs to be called shandy Lerner! Boys did all they could.
  7. I was at the game Saturday and it certainly was a strange atmosphere, all the chanting you heard on the video was coming from the terraces towards the end of the game (from some fans) What frustrates me is that the players may not be at the required level to compete but surely they can run, hassle and put pressure on the opposition. We were up against O'shea and Wes Brown who are possibly the oldest pairing in the league yet they seemed to have such an easy game and time on the ball. There seemed to be a complete lack of motivation, desire and concentration which Remi should be instilling. Confidence is a big factor but surely at this stage we should just be rolling our sleeves up and getting stuck in if nothing else, we really have nothing to lose. I am a supporter of Remi but not sure if his methods are getting across at the moment, we are playing with no heart.
  8. Going to this so I'll sing, shout and scream until I'm horse- then hopefully go home happy! I actually think we will win this, Sunderland have plop tonight so will have tiredness as a ready made excuse for when we beat them! UTV!
  9. Watched it last week with my wife. We both really enjoyed it. The sad thing is I can't/ won't take my five year old son to see it. Pretty strange that we left him with grandparents whilst we watched it and then he got lots of Star Wars toys for Christmas.
  10. Thanks for putting these up after every game Chewie. I may not always want to watch but it's good to know there here!
  11. I love Villa so much it's untrue but unfortunately I think this is it, and we deserve to go down Its amazing how quickly we adapt to things and I feel I have gotten so apathetic with them at the moment, just typing this I remember how annoyed and frustrated I would get if we lost and also how elated if we won (that might still happen tbf, I'd blow the roof off!) now I'm just accepting it all and adjustlike I will when we are in the championship. Living up north will give me more opportunity to go to games so that's a bonus for me I guess (got to find a positive!) My son has just turned five and is a villa fan and I actually felt sorry for him the other day as he will probably get loads of stick because of it, he's a tough cookie though! Villa mean everything to me and no matter what the future holds I am Villa till I die!
  12. Shame Gabbys come off. Could have gone into double figures at kick off
  13. "Remi, Remi..we're the famous Aston villa staying up with Remi"
  14. Well we have been written off by a lot already this season so what have we got to lose? I am more excited by this than at any other point this season (barring the first 2 games) let's hope Remi coming in has ignited the passion in us fans again. Come on Villa! Btw if things are going badly at half time we could do with a sneaky pep talk from you Remi.
  15. Pearson could be a.."you think Sherwoods bad? Wait until you see who we have lined up next..."
  16. Playing well against Chelsea and only losing due to our own mess up yet the manager's still getting slated. Can't we support him for at least 90 minutes?
  17. Well, he will be managing the team tomorrow so I will be supporting him.
  18. No chance. I've seen us lose so often in recent times. Wins are priceless. Whatever my views on the manager or team, they get my full support when on the pitch.
  19. I'm actually glad that it's the international break. I Need some time out. I think Sherwood needs some time out from the league too. Ease the pressure and get on the training pitch.
  20. I've been buying mix mag (club culture music magazine) since 1992. Barely missed an issue. Went to buy this months but no free cd on the cover (download only) and it costs £4.99. I like the CDs to listen to in the car. Tbh I don't recognise all the djs / artists mentioned either so maybe it's time I gave up the ghost! I also recently signed up to 3 issues of runners world and men's health for £3. My wife recently informed me that they are still in the wrapper (they were delivered around a month ago!)
  21. This is how I see it: we are all totally fed up of how bad we have been for over 4 years now. It's no fun worrying ,stressing and seeing your team lose what seems like every week. We were crying out for change and when Lambert was finally put out of his (and more so our) misery last season it seemed like light at the end of the tunnel. Tim came in and after a slow start got us firing and ultimately helped keep us up, of course, we can't forget the end to the season. A complete overhaul of the squad was needed - and has happened - and now we have a whole new set of players to get used to (and names to remember) as has Sherwood. If you had a magic wand and said "right this is how we are going to set up" and all the players had settled, adapted straight away and hit the ground running then great: unfortunately things don't work that way so maybe you have to try different ideas, put square pegs in round holes whilst waiting for players to find form, settle and return from injury. This, I believe is what is happening whilst our manager himself is learning on the job. We have to give them time and as frustrating as it is, that's all we can do. I'm sure Sherwood regrets what he says to the media sometimes or maybe he doesn't place much importance on it- I don't know. All I know is we all care about Villa and all need to be singing from the same sheet.
  22. Sherwood wears his heart on his sleeve: he's naive, inexperienced, overconfident. He's going to say things in the heat of the moment that can, and will be used against him when things go wrong. Lets back him and the team. I'm sick and tired of losing and being down at the bottom but we are only 7 games in and things can (and must, surely) change for the better. I will support him and the team all the negativity does not change anything.
