He has to save 5th. It’s a routine stop. 4th I can’t work out how far the ball was from him but looked like it was next to him.
The other three was just shocking defending and can’t really blame the keeper.
Was about to write the same thing about 4th and 5th goal.
Also Abraham was so close to being onside. He wasn’t to know but had he not gone for that ball it probably would have gone it.
I feel deflated we haven’t won that. Every point dropped and we get further left behind.
After I saw how we defended that game and how poor our keeper was. I’ll happily take 6th.
im dreading playing Leeds and Albion.
What do you mean still? Did you watch that game!
On a serious note can we all now agree he has to be the first replacement in January. Maybe even swap him for Bunn now.
Keeper, centre half is a must. Left back is important but only after the other positions are dealt with. Anything else is a bonus
I’m sure Smith knows what he needs to do.
70k per week is 3.5 million for a year of his services. Lets say we paid a loan fee too so we’re looking at 4 million or so.
Now let’s compare that to spending the same sum on a player that could be as good as a fit Bolasie. You’d be looking at least 10 million plus wages. On top of that if he flopped we’d be stuck with (think McCormack and Hogan).
i think too much is made of our decision to pay his wages.
If he contributes to promotion then I’d say it’s a bargain and a sum worth paying and risk worth taking!
edit: Also imagine we didn’t sign him and he ended up playing a pivotal part in Boro getting promoted. You know for a fact all those moaning about his wages would be moaning that we lost out to Boro for his signature.
It was similar to our game against qpr in some respects. Whilst being behind we totally bossed the game and should have at least got a point.
From what I remember Leeds didn’t create too many big chances but thinking back they did boss the game and probably deserved a point.
I’m amazed at the faith fans have in our goalie after a couple of routine catches and saves!
Goalkeeper is the number one priority for the day the window opens. The sooner he is replaced with a top keeper the better.
I’d put money on the club lining up a new keeper to face Wigan on 12th January.
He has done well to keep his player and was looking the Albert of last season against Blues. A real shame he’s injured and hopefully not out too long.
On the other hand it’s a very good opportunities for a few players that can play in his position to step up.
I watched them at Elland Road. They were really organised and should have won. Got robbed by a blatant handball by roofe.
I see a similar pattern tonight where they will sit back and hit us on the break. We’ll have to be really on it to break them down.
Forest have lost 1 in their last 12 and unbeaten in their last 7 away games.
We need to try and break them down whilst avoiding the counter attack.
The longer it goes on I can see a draw. We need an early goal to force them to attack.
Keep in contention by Jan. By contention I’d say no more than 10 points off top 2. (Currently 9 points off so won’t be easy). Get Heaton, a new left back and a centre half and I see us challenging for automatic promotion.
I see Boro as a favourite for top 2. We are currently 8 points behind them yet it’s in our hands to be 2 points behind them by Saturday night.
Have to keep winning to keep in contention due to such a shit start!
