  1. Cheers mate. Not too bad at the moment so getting your steer on it is really helpful. I'm 46 so same age really and mostly similar symptoms it seems. Not gonna bother with 111 unless it gets really bad. Thanks again for the info.
  2. Thanks for this info Lakota. I think I have this TBH. Noticed yesterday that when chatting to a friend I was struggling for breath a little. Nothing serious. But then woke up early this morning with slight breathing issues (not bad) and occasional chest pain (not bad). Seems to be getting worse (intermittently) throughout the day. It's not particularly bad, but taking a deep breath is giving me discomfort/ light pain. So I'm taking your advice and drinking water & paracetamol. It's no biggie at the moment but does seem to be getting slightly worse. Are you over the worst of yours yet?
  3. A lack of tests being carried out will clearly make the death rate appear much worse than it actually is. Not just that, but many people will have had this/ get it, and either be mostly unaware, or just feel a bit under the weather. These cases will clearly not be recorded either. So the actual death rate will be much lower than is currently being touted. 1% tops.
  4. Idealistic parties can and do still win elections. Yes, it's not easy, when all the instruments of the capitalist state and the establishment are against you. But let's not give up the good fight. The powers that be are desperate for labour to drift back to capitalist, centrist blairesque policies. The people and the planet need better than that.
  5. Watched 3 films recently, all good in very different ways: Snowpiercer: bonkers post apocalyptic violent drama based entirely on a train carrying the last survivors on a frozen earth. Starring captain America. Bloody, violent, crazy, surreal. 7/10 Deepwater horizon: retelling of the oil rig disaster with mark Wahlberg and curt Russell. Eye opening, captivating. More than simply an eco disaster. Many workers killed in the name of profit. 9/10 You were never really here: violent, thug/ killer/ rescuer for hire action thriller in the mould of the equaliser. But more brutal and much better. Starring Joaquin Phoenix. 9/10
  6. I thought they made a bud-weis-er sound ..
  7. Did anyone watch The Pale Horse? I have no real clue what was going on right at the end ....
  8. Yeah I can see that. Although that was a top film so maybe no bad thing? Just have to keep reminding yourself he's Picard and not Xavier
  9. Second really good also. Really starting to take shape. I'm loving the 'grown-up ' aspect to this series. Star trek without the sugar coating.
  10. Couldn't be bothered to add the onions or garlic

Looks like a dog or a bear
  12. Briefly. Constant knifing of Jez. Far too far to the centre. I'm looking for a socialist labour party, and I don't believe she is.
  13. RLB is potentially going to win it. But I'm not sure she's up to it. Doesn't inspire me TBH. Jez did. I like King Clive, but I doubt he's going to stand. Angela Rayner I also rate, but she's probably going for deputy. The Wild Thornberry might be a good shout. **** it. I'm a paid up member of the hemp smelling bivouac party anyway.
  14. Christ. Lost my vote and interest immediately. She's also got no chance, thankfully. Horrendous character.
  15. King Clive for me. Ticks the ethnic minority box, top guy, ex army which may appeal to some voters on the right. On the left, so electable in terms of party membership.
  16. Far more to it than that. He/ Labour did pretty well just over 2 years ago. What's Jez done over the proceeding 2 years to then warrant such dislike? Whereas de Pfeffel has cheated, insulted, lied, etc, etc.

Only 1 of them is still alive, but worth a shot I guess
  18. Is that allowed on the ballot paper, or have they officially changed their name to "The lib dems: to stop Brexit" ?
  19. IMO, Labour would be foolish to go for a GE before Brexit has been sorted, one way or the other. They want and need a GE to be about social justice, foodbanks, NHS, austerity etc, not brexit. So I'm with Bicks, GoNU best option.

Me too. I think it's the devil's dumplings that do it.
  21. Clive Lewis would be the man, for me. Mostly shares JC's ethos. More pro Europe. Can probably build some party bridges too. Plus he ticks the ethnic diversity box.
