  1. "Somehow"? They're top - 4 points ahead of 3rd with 3 games left.

    Chelsea

On the metrics that people love (xG, xA, xPts etc) Chelsea are right up there in the league - "ahead" of us. I guess it's probably the difference between having Jackson and a better finisher.
  3. Not sure that's a red tbh. It looks like he's going to kick the ball (sidefoot) but the Arsenal player gets there first and puts his foot on the ball so Kilman's studs land on his ankle.
  4. It's a 50/50 one. If it's given, it's not overturned. I'd probably want a penalty for it, though. He brings his arm down and into the ball - even if it's a "natural movement", he moves toward the ball.
  5. QPR leading Preston (bad for Blues)
  6. Burnley have now only lost once in their last 6 games (a 1-0 loss away at Everton). They've played West Ham and Chelsea away and Brentford, Brighton and Wolves at home. Still some ground to make up, but they absolutely have hope now... just a tricky run-in. Man Utd (A), Newcastle (H), Spurs (A), Forest (H). That last game has the potential to be massive if they carry on getting some good results.
  7. Sheff Utd have scored though...
  8. Blues currently 11/10 on Bet365 - pop your £10 on now. If they win, you double up. If they don't, hahahaha.
  9. "Fresh from a triumphant penalty shootout against Lille in the Europa Conference League, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez decided the local populace needed a more personal touch to truly digest their defeat. Martinez, not content with merely silencing the roaring crowd at the stadium during the penalty shootout, embarked on an evening stroll through Lille’s quaint streets, knocking on doors to remind residents of the virtues of silence, while offering them his trademark ‘shoulder shuffle’ to those who greeted him at the doorstep." 10. Different areas of the pitch for a goalkeeper?
  11. Or, he could have been saying "I gave you 3 extra seconds - one, two, three - and you still didn't get the ball in play". No-one knows. Martinez is funny - shows the true bias in football. We'd absolutely hate him if he wasn't a Villa player
  12. Two clubs not in Europe, but yeah. I just don't get the issue. The non-Premier League clubs probably play the same number of games each season (if not more) as the Premier League sides, yet simply don't have the financial resources to build an actual squad that they can rotate. The solution? Give them less money. Fantastic
  13. I don't really have an issue with that - the Europa League is a "bigger" competition than the Europa Conference League, so mentioning those first is fine.
  14. Didn’t we reject the proposed deal for EFL clubs as well? I imagine we’re very much in favour of replays being scrapped.
  15. I feel relieved he gets the home leg. Really wouldn’t fancy him away in Greece.
  16. Man has started slipping penalties into the top corner now. Baller.
  17. What dya get? What dya get? What dya get for a group stage draw? What dya get for a group - stage - draw?
  18. Every result matters, For all English clubs toooo, We calculate the outcomes, Points for a win are twooo! We’re Coefficient FC, Divide points by our cluuuubs, Fag packet calculations, While boozing in the puuuubs, Allez Allez Allez! Allez Allez Allez…
  19. “The Football Association and Premier League have been accused of "a total lack of respect for the football pyramid" over changes to the FA Cup. Emirates FA Cup replays will be scrapped from the first round onwards in 2024-25 and all rounds of the competition will be played on weekends.” (Link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68851138) Plenty of noise (expectedly and understandably) from the lower league/non-league clubs. I still don’t get the logic of why the changes are coming in. Super League-esque stuff.
  20. That's not a booking. That Lille guy is such a cheating word removed.
  21. It's tight to me - Duran definitely jumps into Bentaleb, enough to be a foul though? Ref didn't think so (so really don't understand the "**** off ref" )
  22. It's a fair enough yellow, but that Lille guy should've been booked too.
  23. Haven't Lille been a semi-regular Champions League team?
