  1. Every footballer ever? You're always going to appeal for that.
  2. The “high bar” with VAR is ridiculous. Thats a player getting taken out from behind in the box and they’re deeming it not worth a second viewing because… it’s close to the ball or something? I don’t get it. They may as well just do away with VAR if it isn’t doing anything in those situations. What’s the point
  3. That’s the worst of the lot - stonewall and not given!
  4. Come on lads, you’ve just got to lose 2 more games and it’s done!
  5. As above - ball just bobbled a tiny bit, complete slice... but then it's fine until the ball hits the pitch and has this rapid spin into the net. It's amazing
  6. And a 3rd! OH MY WORD! It's an INSANE own goal

    Chelsea

I reckon it's the other way round with bookies - not sure if that's an accurate reflection. In many respects, I think a draw is the most likely result.
  8. "Somehow"? They're top - 4 points ahead of 3rd with 3 games left.

    Chelsea

On the metrics that people love (xG, xA, xPts etc) Chelsea are right up there in the league - "ahead" of us. I guess it's probably the difference between having Jackson and a better finisher.
  10. Not sure that's a red tbh. It looks like he's going to kick the ball (sidefoot) but the Arsenal player gets there first and puts his foot on the ball so Kilman's studs land on his ankle.
  11. It's a 50/50 one. If it's given, it's not overturned. I'd probably want a penalty for it, though. He brings his arm down and into the ball - even if it's a "natural movement", he moves toward the ball.
  12. QPR leading Preston (bad for Blues)
  13. Burnley have now only lost once in their last 6 games (a 1-0 loss away at Everton). They've played West Ham and Chelsea away and Brentford, Brighton and Wolves at home. Still some ground to make up, but they absolutely have hope now... just a tricky run-in. Man Utd (A), Newcastle (H), Spurs (A), Forest (H). That last game has the potential to be massive if they carry on getting some good results.
  14. Blues currently 11/10 on Bet365 - pop your £10 on now. If they win, you double up. If they don't, hahahaha.
  15. "Fresh from a triumphant penalty shootout against Lille in the Europa Conference League, Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez decided the local populace needed a more personal touch to truly digest their defeat. Martinez, not content with merely silencing the roaring crowd at the stadium during the penalty shootout, embarked on an evening stroll through Lille’s quaint streets, knocking on doors to remind residents of the virtues of silence, while offering them his trademark ‘shoulder shuffle’ to those who greeted him at the doorstep." 16. Different areas of the pitch for a goalkeeper?
  17. Or, he could have been saying "I gave you 3 extra seconds - one, two, three - and you still didn't get the ball in play". No-one knows. Martinez is funny - shows the true bias in football. We'd absolutely hate him if he wasn't a Villa player
  18. Two clubs not in Europe, but yeah. I just don't get the issue. The non-Premier League clubs probably play the same number of games each season (if not more) as the Premier League sides, yet simply don't have the financial resources to build an actual squad that they can rotate. The solution? Give them less money. Fantastic
  19. I don't really have an issue with that - the Europa League is a "bigger" competition than the Europa Conference League, so mentioning those first is fine.
  20. Didn’t we reject the proposed deal for EFL clubs as well? I imagine we’re very much in favour of replays being scrapped.
  21. I feel relieved he gets the home leg. Really wouldn’t fancy him away in Greece.
