  1. Particularly if they're just wrong...
  2. I agree with that to an extent - but that’s because people generally like the underdog to do well? Burton have comfortably the lowest budget in the Championship - staying up would have been miraculous. It’s not an injustice they went down, but fair play for making it exciting.
  3. Why the hate for Burton?! Most inoffensive club I think I’ve ever known... Good amount of drama for a final day in the Championship - well done Bolton for providing most of it.
  4. Nowhere near the same level of club, at all. Sergio Ramos is the king word removed of footballers. Liverpool have no-one even in the same universe of word removed as him. I think Birmingham must have these legions of terrible Liverpool fans. I just haven’t experienced this self-entitlement at all. Nowhere near Man Utd/Man City/Chelsea levels. Not even close!
  5. The difference is that those sides were dominant domestically - this Madrid team is nowhere near that. For a team to win 3 CL trophies in a row, you’d expect (and, for me, want) them to be an incredible team.
  6. It’s a league thing - not an every single trophy thing. Quite obviously, too.
  7. Correct - it isn't. Only a word removed team wouldn't have the sportsmanship to do it, though.
  8. Didn't realise Real Madrid had refused to give Barcelona a guard of honour too Literally the most word removed team on the planet. I'm amazed people want them to beat Liverpool.
  9. It feels somewhat wrong that this Real Madrid side could go down in history as having won the CL 3 seasons in a row - they're just nowhere near the level that that accolade should command.
  10. I was commenting more on the play acting side which, potentially, has ruined yet another would-have-been-awesome game. It was quality before that, as you say, and is particularly galling when Bale should've legitimately been sent off.
  11. ...good timing for some El Pathetico from Marcelo which will probably ruin the game.
  12. Just think about the nonsense of this line. They went 21 games unbeaten. They were quite literally bound to lose at some point.
  13. It's had a great goal in it though (even if the finish was shinned...)! Edit: Also weirdly underhyped as Barcelona can go unbeaten for the entire season.
  14. Bit ridiculous to say Fulham are in anything other than fantastic form. Won 6 out of their last 8 with only 1 loss - that was today. They'll beat Derby over 2 legs.
  15. They’re both tough sides. Very little in it really.
  16. The Channel 5 “Goal Rush” program made it sound as if nothing happened in the game at all - but it showed the Morecambe keeper making a couple of saves. I imagine Morecambe came and played for a draw and Coventry didn’t over-commit pushing for a winner.
  17. Fulham weren’t anything special in both games against us this season. Obviously fully expected them to beat Blues, but they are comfortably the most overhyped side in this division.
  18. They’re absolutely bossing Fulham.
  19. Quite unlucky to an extent, Arsenal. Got in some really good positions but a combination of Atletico flooding their own box and the final ball being utterly terrible (particularly from Monreal) meant they never really got a proper chance to score. As an aside, timing format change couldn't come sooner enough in football. Make the matches 60 minutes long with time only counting when the ball is in play. It's boring watching (predominantly Spanish) teams just time waste over and over in the final 10 minutes.

    Liverpool

I mean, there's certainly a case for this (as I said)... but I actually couldn't see a Klopp side moving away from a high-energy, high-pressing game to a different sort to accommodate Ronaldo as a focal point number 9. The whole premise of his team, and why it works so effectively, is the chaos that an incredibly mobile and interchangeable front 3 causes. I don't think (?) there's another team out there at the moment that works in the same manner. Potentially Man City, but they're more about the width of Sane/Sterling than constant movement including Aguero/Jesus.

    Liverpool

Yeah, that seems to be everyone's problem with them. I live in Nottingham - there are absolutely **** all Liverpool fans around here. The main issue with them is the seeming bias (I don't know how else to explain it?) of having ex-Liverpool players as pundits/commentators on absolutely everything, as far as I'm concerned. I like their manager (on the whole) and the way they play football, though, so certainly no ill-feeling toward them. They're not a patch on Man Utd/Man City/Chelsea in terms of "big club dislike". But then, the general consensus on this forum is that all the big clubs are disliked, so I'm in a minority

You could always bother to read posts before replying, I guess.
  23. Did you hear that Pardew blamed Gary Megson for stealing his new manager bounce?

    Liverpool

There's possibly not a team in the world who wouldn't change their setup to have him included but, given how Liverpool play, Ronaldo wouldn't work for them. As I said in original post, that isn't to say he isn't a better player than Salah/Firmino/Mane - it's just about context.
