  1. Pleased with the Sampdoria win in a game that was effectively a spread out miniature penalty shoot-out. Federico Chiesa could not hit a cows backside with a banjo. Seems to have gotten worse as the season has gone on, albeit he is a young player. Impressed by Atalanta's Musa Barrow for Bologna against Cagliari. Sergio Floccari's goal against Milan is worth a watch as well as is Vicari's own goal.
  2. He always pops up with a few goals as well; another strength of Atalanta.
  3. Great team to watch throughout. I think their game tomorrow against Napoli will be a good test for them. When Gomez and Ilicic get going it is just a joy to watch. I like watching Gollini' development too. The Golazzo Podcast covered Atalanta well, particularly their youth system and how much talent it churns out. A shame the podcasts are not very regular throughout the season or focussed on the current goings on. If anybody has other Italian Football Podcast recommendations, do let me know.
  4. Good win for Lazio last night. Just a shame Genoa could not keep it up for another half but to be expected. Immobile and Caicedo out for the next game against Milan after early and harsh first offence bookings. I could not really see how Immobile was going to get his hands/arms out of the way for the Torino penalty. Fairly consistent from Italian Officials all season though I suppose even though I would love to believe Juve are still paying off the referees. I thought Torino were very poor although I was impressed with Meite, and as ever, Andrea Belotti. Expecting a football feast tonight especially with four games to choose from. I will probably avoid both Milan teams and go for the more closely matched games in Bologna vs Cagliari and Fiorentina vs Sassuolo.
  5. Been some cracking games the last week or so. I am looking forward to Torino Vs Lazio tonight. I am hoping Sampdoria can put a bit of distance between themselves and the bottom three with a win tomorrow against Lecce as well.
  6. Impressed by Luiz - head and shoulders above anybody else in terms of team and individual play. I thought McGinn had some good moments cutting back in from the right when he came on and I really could not fault Keinan Davis' effort today. Smith appears and speaks like a beaten man whenever I see him. Clearly lacking in any confidence and that cannot be impressionable for the players and those around him. Whether the buck stops at Smith or the initial recruitment, I really do not think we can just keep on replenishing the squad, and we have to start seeking some sort of continuity. I'd like to see somebody else try and get something different out of what we have which will now likely be in the Championship barring some extremely good fortune and/or an unimaginable improvement in results.
  7. I share my birth date with Black Monday. I am not sure of any famous folk.
  8. Good podcast. I am just listening to the Jimmy Walker episode at the moment. I think my favourite so far have been those describing Stan Ternent with Robbie Blake and Glen Little. I also enjoyed Mark Crossley impersonating Brian Clough early on; had a cracking nickname for him as well. My least favourite, largely down to his personality, was Leon Knight. An absolute weapon.
  9. You could see he actually wanted to be out there tonight. Good attitude, good pro.
  10. Could not have put it better. They're superb during times like now.
  11. I bought the second from the left for tonight; bought only because of The Salford Lads Club image and a liking for Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before by The Smiths. £1.60 and I have no expectations but it will be guzzled.
  12. Good choice - the first time I had it (the green one) was in Edinburgh in late-2017 before we went to The Rat Pack Piano bar. My partner taxed the pint glass and it now sits in the living room with pound coin stash. I often buy the bottles from Aldi.
  13. I could not even be bothered looking last night. I've just bought a few packs of baby wipes that with careful application, will hopefully see me through. Assuming one turd/day, I'm covered for the year. B&M had plenty. My partner who lives in Harrogate is having a nightmare getting anything resembling toilet roll. Socks.
  14. Thanks Bickster. I shall give it a try. I hope everything is all okay on Murkeyside.
  15. There is always that. I shall not be giving up however. I have been reading of people playing the 'click again' game into the early hours like yourself on some consumer help forum. Seems to be very little success presently.
  16. No expert but I had this saga earlier in the week. My insurance company (whom I bank with) sent me 'around the houses' before ending up back in a phone queue with them. They wanted me to attempt to get a refund from the airline and then accommodation. If not possible, they asked me to contact the bank I paid with, which in this instance was on an AMEX CC, and then let them know the outcome. No action. The result was I ended up back at the insurance firm/bank and I filled in a claim form and submitted necessary paperwork in support of the claim. I have been trying to get a refund on some Ryanair flights too but its online form just does not work and will not accept my reservation number (it clearly is the reservation number). I suspect a traffic issue. In addition a refund from Skyparks for parking; I've been waiting over 3 weeks for that refund that was supposed to take 10 working days. Good luck.
  17. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-suffolk-37288205 @BOF Dalian had an Alfasud. I suspect you will have known but I did not. Nevertheless I thought best to share.
  18. Re-living my Golazzo youth, I am watching Serie A again on Premier Sports, and VAR use there is completely comical. Handballs in the penalty area are a particular treat. You could make a career of trying to find the defender's arm rather than your target man/striker in that league.
  19. Plays for Verona now. Had a decent game against Milan at the weekend.
