  1. I completely agree. Perhaps teaches me to reserve a little bit of judgement in future despite being a little less critical of our managers despite at times thinking it. Great listening though I must say. I wonder who is on Stan's backroom staff.
  2. The Villa View with Petrov was brilliant. The Houllier stuff was very odd. Enjoying this Podcast.
  3. I have been watching this Alcasser Girls case on Netflix. It is very interesting although I wish I could read Spanish to avoid Google translation for written coverage. An absolute abomination of an investigation and further the media TV coverage. It's like nothing I have seen before and I cannot get my head around any of it to have any logical opinion on what may have happened. I would recommend it to anybody who enjoys a true crime documentary though just for sheer ineptitude for seemingly most of those involved.
  4. Would love a quick announcement on this. Get it done.
  5. I agree and the doubts are somewhat eradicated if these players, come the window ending, are players that are squad players adding depth for a Premier League campaign, with us having strengthened significantly with first team players.
  6. Too many to choose from for me. Auf Wiedersehen Pet Series 1 & 2 I enjoyed. I do like an old British Series. I remember when I was at University and I unearthed that the house they shot in series 2 was fairly local to Loughborough. The Shield was probably my favourite from the USA. I liked Oz too. I could happily watch episodes of The Sweeney. Happy with the simple stuff. I enjoy seeing all of the old cars in shows like The Sweeney.
  7. Shrewd business if this goes through.
  8. Seen Jota tear us apart at Griffin Park a few years ago - very nimble. £4m is a little rich if that is the figure, but I suppose in today's game that is on or about the right amount. An early signing too, and if we're bulking out the squad with the aim being strength in depth, I'm happy we're getting it done early.
  9. Very average but I think given that we do not have an abundance of left-backs at present he won't be moved on just yet. I'd hardly call it strength in-depth, but he does add squad depth in the position too.
  10. Just seemed to become more influential as the season went on for me, and based on his existing familiarisation with the club going into next season, 'a must sign' for me.
  11. I have only ever listened to 'My Old Man Said'. I'll give a few of the others mentioned a go. One thing that annoys me about 'My Old Man Said' is the needless swearing at times. One of them is particularly flippant with his use of swearing. Other than that though it is well-structured and I have enjoyed the Scott Hogan touch count of late. A good balance of humour and seriousness. I'll look for 'The Villa View' for my drive home from Oxford this evening I think.

  14. Very much agree Bickster. Ride were so good, I am looking at a few dates they have on in August dotted around the country. Regarding the day itself, I thoroughly enjoyed it and the acts. Not everything is going to be to your taste and you're always guaranteed the odd plonker, but all in all, I'd have to say I was there for the music and many others also.
  15. I did The Cure the day after. Ride were the pick of the bunch for me. Slowdive good as well.
