Dropping Bailey isn’t that easy, he is actually playing as a winger in possession hugging the touchline, at the moment we don’t have a fit winger, was he good enough yesterday no but he did create some nice chances early on.

Regardless he has to be good in possession and a progressive passer we really suffered when young went off yesterday , Young played Bailey in down the right hand side numerous times yesterday. I know Bailey is the resident scapegoat here but he really dropped off when Young went off and that isn’t through coincidence.

That wasn’t really his job , looking at Matty and Ashley Young’s heat map in the match and previous matches they are positioned primarily near the half way line, whilst Moreno is predominantly in the final third.

Mentioned this yesterday and 100% agree, Mendez the midfielder would be a good buy to, anybody who has time to watch Real Sociedad should do so they have some good players well worth watching.

No I don’t think either, there’s no doubt he has ability ,yes he has the most assists in la liga this season but tbh I don’t even think he’s the best midfielder at Real Sociedad.

How much did Haller cost? How much did Scamacca cost? How much did Fabio Silva cost? , Moise Kean? All cost more the Ollie with only 27 goals between them.

Mistakes happen in games, decision making and concentration is the players responsibility. The chances we created yesterday were excellent the attacking build up was probably the best we’ve been since the Man Utd game. Unfortunately we have players who fail to score from 5 yards out. We should have scored 5 yesterday.

Clamping down on time wasting, yet the amount of minutes wasted in not raising the offside flag and let play run when it’s a blatant off side is probably wasting 10 minutes per game.

Can’t the whole idea is to have hime provide width on the right hand side whilst the fullback provides it on the other flank

To be fair he wants to play progressive football at home unfortunately we were our own worst enemy today, when was the last time we had 63% possession vs Leicester? We dominated the game but we have to accept the that this style of play at home is a work in progress. Fair play to Emery the easy option would be to play the way we do away from home in counter attacking block but you can see he’s striving for a style of play to excite the home support and to make Villa Park a place opposing teams fear. It will all come together eventually.

We’re better away from home, we are also better without the ball than we are with it. We’ve got a grasp on playing the block and frustrating possession based teams Hopefully we can get a result.

That’s whole point of playing out the back though isn’t it, trigger the press and play through it , rather than passing it aimlessly along the back 4. It’s a work in progress that will eventually pay dividends.

Found himself in good positions to start counter attacks in the first half, needs to learn to pass and move. Unfortunately his and Ollie’s missed chances cost us the game but at the same time there was nothing he could have done to prevent us gifting Leicester 4 goals.

More than enough chances win, shouldn’t have gifted them 4 goals. Leicester were clinical we weren’t. The players let Emery down.
