  1. Beginning of the season I thought his defensive short comings would be outweighed by his gifts going forwards but he's been shocking in that department aswell he's incredibly low on confidence, he's scared to go forwards and try things it always a short run turn back and pass it to guzan
  2. where did this statement come from? always thought he was on 35k
  3. why did we not sign John Gudetti? a realistic target I'd imagine?
  4. he moved in to channels dropped into holes made him self available hassled opponents he's a central midfielder most definitely he's way to casual at rb
  5. the affect he has on the team is unbelievable when he remembered how to play football so did all the others.
  6. The cheers at villa park when he went off proved everybody thinks the same, funny thing is all non villa fans say oh that weimann's a big player for you
  7. Westwood takes that extra touch every single time first half Swans CB pairing was split when we won the ball he took an extra touch and the opportunity was gone, Tonev has no desire to reach the ball despite having blistering pace, Marc Albrighton hassled and wanted the ball closed down the opposing players when he came on, Weiman was awful, Gabby wanted the ball and hassled for it but we didn't have the ball to give it to him, I saw only three players pressing the ball gabby marc and delph the others couldn't care less hurried in possesion and didn't know what to do with the ball we were (the fans) were rocking for the 1st 10mins but honestly I can't blame anybody for switching off they gave us nothing to shout for they put no effort in so why should we! they can do it the pressed like hell for 2mins we all cheered then they stood off and played crap again.
  8. I agree, maybe we can give Bacuna a chance in his 'proper' position though. so he can play loose sideways passes and put us instantly under pressure?
  9. It's a shame playing well does not retain you a place in the starting line up at villa Kea, Bacuna, Andi, Tonev all continue to have chances id rather Herd for Kea ,Lowton for Bacuna, but who for Andi? were very weak wide right Allbrighton i suppose deserves a chance but I'm not totally convinced on him I don't want to see Tonev there he's brainless and lacks guts, Bacuna is way to casual noticed his passing square across to the CB? an interception waiting to happen I cringe when I see him pass!
  10. Yeah really glad for him, the amount of times I slagged him off start of last season never though he'd become my favourite villa player, shows that we need to be patient with all players I suppose.
  11. bacuna needs to be moved further up the pitch I don't see him as a winger or and inside forward where did he play for groinigen? playing numerous positions will be he's downfall he won't get good at any of them can he play in the hole behind the striker? lowton deserves a shot
  12. Sylla was awful, his passing was shocking, btw I also hate when we spread the ball across the back four it makes me nervous!
  13. I bet benteke would not have liked the volley to fly in I honestly think he's jealous
  14. he scored 2 for me in 29 appearances an 1 assist he contributes by winning headers wide left and closing down full backs he works hard Jordan Graham is slowly replacing him his work rate is not as good though
  15. Dortmund and Bayern wanted him was offer £15m for him rejected set his value to £34m he complained his value was to high i lowered him and asked him to change his agent he di aswel then dropped everything January passed now I suspect we'l have the same scenario in the summer!
  16. Agree with this entirely. I wish we'd give some our talented bunch of young lads opportunities as subs rather than the likes of Bowery, who clearly from what I've seen, has no real chance of making it in a top level league like the prem. If we can't afford to buy players, then giving our untried young players a chance to prove themselves in the first team. Players like Redmond are making a name for themselves and I don't see much difference between the likes of him and Robinson/Graham in terms of talent. Lambert said this when asked about big signings in January : "That's the game...it's a challenge," admitted Lambert. "We won't be able to go out and buy the big type of players. We have to look at the market, the young lads. We give them an opportunity and hopefully they take it." Yesterday, at 2-0 was the perfect opportunity to give a genuine prospect a run out, but instead went for Bowery and with all due respects to Jordan, I cannot see him being Villa caliber in future. Gotta start giving them game time if we are ever going too. Like mentioned, if your good enough, your old enough. my thoughts exactly
  17. 10 mins on the pitch would have been nice though
  18. Yeah I noticed that, going for a slide along the red astro, ooooh not good. His celebrations will improve over time. Haha
  19. It would have been nice to see Callum Robinson at that point in the game why doesn't Lambert blood home grown talent?
  20. Did anybody notice how clumsy his celebration was he nearly scraped his leg on the red astro near the edge of the stadium l!!!
  21. Hutton and Ireland wont get shifted even if we pay the team to take em off our hands
  22. let's just hope it's a case of needing time to settle, we were all saying Benteke couldn't finish beginning of last season and boy did he prove us wrong, Kozak please prove us wrong!
