    Income Tax

I find it unfair that some people are born with £100s of millions of low taxed trust and untouched 'farm' wealth passed down from a lucky Norman knight. People need to realise many already pay way more in inheritance tax than the super wealthy. It's that kind of obscene wealth hidden behind complex legal entities that many believe should be targeted, not grandma's 4 bed semi.
  2. I don't necessarily think it's the best idea, just the most likely as I can't see us selling a CB. I certainly don't think we're going to go into the season with 5 CBs and 5 FBs. I also don't think titanium man Matty Cash with Young as backup would see Chambers needed to play there outside of a nothing league cup tie or two at the most. I actually thought Konsa did a surprisingly good job there when he covered a few years ago.
  3. Interesting. I assumed Young re-signing meant we wouldn't target any more defenders. If we do sign a LB I assume Guilbert will be sold, KKH will go on loan with Young and Chambers to cover RB.
  4. How long until these are going to be readily available*?! Is there still an issue with supply of components, or is it simply keeping them scarce so the price stays high? *and hopefully a bit cheaper
  5. You shouldn't want to change it anyway. You take the mick out of yourself for rating all our youth players, but your username will forever be a reminder of one you got very, very right!
  6. Crazy they get away with it to be honest. I was reading an article the other day how quite a lot of players have failed drug tests (recreational & PEDs) in the last few years, but the league is so worried about ruining the brand it's always hushed up. One of my friends always insisted the best thing for the NFL would be to just legalise it as they're all up to it anyway. I'm starting to think football might as well do the same.
  7. I do wonder if it's often a case of 'too many cooks'. @NurembergVillan has written some really interesting posts on the various requirements of the shirts in the past. I dare say the designers employed by these companies could all individually produce amazing designs if given a blank brief and no sponsor/league/manufacturer guidelines to worry about.
  8. Whether or not he's better than Henry can be debated, but as he's two-footed and immediately their best option at RB he will be starting anyway. I've not seen these meltdowns you're talking about, although I don't think fans having differing opinions creates some sort of group hypocrisy when the opinions clash.
  9. I can't see Brentford making him their record signing and not playing him. Presumably he'll be straight in at right back as well as covering for Henry.
  10. I can completely understand why a player would want as many games as possible at that age. There are plenty of examples of players development massively stalling by making a move a year or two earlier than they should have.
  11. He's a good manager and probably out of our league, but elite as they come? Really? That doesn't compare to Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Zidane, Mourinho and many more current managers. As for PSG, they have to win a champions league or two before they can be spoken about in the same breath as any of the top European clubs. Regardless, I hope Gerrard does a great job this season so we wont even be having these discussions about other managers! I'm certainly excited (and a bit apprehensive) to see what our team looks like come the start of the season.
  12. Sounds like McGinn… Someone able tae win th' baw back heich up th' pitch ower than aye inviting thaim onto us. That sounds more like McGinn.
  13. I don't think we should worry too much about the taxing nature of our annual FA cup game!
  14. Looking at Otavio's pressing stats he is a very defensively capable midfielder, albeit one operating in a different area of the pitch. While it would be good to have someone who can sit alongside Kamara when necessary, I personally feel we would look much more solid having someone able to win the ball back high up the pitch rather than always inviting them onto us.
  15. I find it sad people feel like that in a relationship but think they have to stay together. I'm in the single and dating phase and, while it can be fun, believe me it gets just as boring. Easy to look back on with rose-tinted glasses though I guess, particularly as it often coincides with a generally more carefree time of life.
  16. I completely agree. Unfortunately I'm just as addicted to reading the same shit jokes and trawling for a snippet of actual news as anyone on here. Having a week off work isn't helping.
  17. That's not quite the gotcha you think it is.
  18. She may be legit, but I can't think of a reason other than attention seeking to post any of it online.
  19. Be prepared for the possibility of having to go through ID verification as I got stung by it last time I tried to place a last minute bet on something online. Presumably they will make you do it to withdraw anyway. It should be a relatively quick & painless process but I'd do it ahead of time just in case you get issues with blurry pictures etc.
  20. I've donated quite a bit of money to this site in the past, I'm just not a monthly 'subscriber'. Apologies for having opinions above my station. p.s. that isn't what ironic means
  21. FYI you can hide your own posts by clicking the three dots in the top right.
  22. I'm not asking you to, I just think "pay it or don't" is such bullshit. People are entitled to voice an opinion about a substantial increase in price, particularly with the sub-standard nature of the product in the past.
