  1. Whether or not he's better than Henry can be debated, but as he's two-footed and immediately their best option at RB he will be starting anyway. I've not seen these meltdowns you're talking about, although I don't think fans having differing opinions creates some sort of group hypocrisy when the opinions clash.
  2. I can't see Brentford making him their record signing and not playing him. Presumably he'll be straight in at right back as well as covering for Henry.
  3. I can completely understand why a player would want as many games as possible at that age. There are plenty of examples of players development massively stalling by making a move a year or two earlier than they should have.
  4. He's a good manager and probably out of our league, but elite as they come? Really? That doesn't compare to Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Zidane, Mourinho and many more current managers. As for PSG, they have to win a champions league or two before they can be spoken about in the same breath as any of the top European clubs. Regardless, I hope Gerrard does a great job this season so we wont even be having these discussions about other managers! I'm certainly excited (and a bit apprehensive) to see what our team looks like come the start of the season.
  5. Sounds like McGinn… Someone able tae win th' baw back heich up th' pitch ower than aye inviting thaim onto us. That sounds more like McGinn.
  6. I don't think we should worry too much about the taxing nature of our annual FA cup game!
  7. Looking at Otavio's pressing stats he is a very defensively capable midfielder, albeit one operating in a different area of the pitch. While it would be good to have someone who can sit alongside Kamara when necessary, I personally feel we would look much more solid having someone able to win the ball back high up the pitch rather than always inviting them onto us.
  8. I find it sad people feel like that in a relationship but think they have to stay together. I'm in the single and dating phase and, while it can be fun, believe me it gets just as boring. Easy to look back on with rose-tinted glasses though I guess, particularly as it often coincides with a generally more carefree time of life.
  9. I completely agree. Unfortunately I'm just as addicted to reading the same shit jokes and trawling for a snippet of actual news as anyone on here. Having a week off work isn't helping.
  10. That's not quite the gotcha you think it is.
  11. She may be legit, but I can't think of a reason other than attention seeking to post any of it online.
  12. Be prepared for the possibility of having to go through ID verification as I got stung by it last time I tried to place a last minute bet on something online. Presumably they will make you do it to withdraw anyway. It should be a relatively quick & painless process but I'd do it ahead of time just in case you get issues with blurry pictures etc.
  13. I've donated quite a bit of money to this site in the past, I'm just not a monthly 'subscriber'. Apologies for having opinions above my station. p.s. that isn't what ironic means
  14. FYI you can hide your own posts by clicking the three dots in the top right.
  15. I'm not asking you to, I just think "pay it or don't" is such bullshit. People are entitled to voice an opinion about a substantial increase in price, particularly with the sub-standard nature of the product in the past.
  16. Which teams do it the most is obviously subjective, it's a fact that this is a widely held perception of us and to be honest I don't think it's an unreasonable view. We probably don't think we're so bad relatively because we're nowhere near the levels of Man City/Liverpool who do it and get given what seems like every single decision against us.
  17. I always read this on here, but fans of most other PL (and championship) clubs would tell you we're one of the 'worst' for it.
  18. Is it meant to be a good thing? Last year I was double charged for a game and when I emailed the club (several times) about it I was completely ignored and no refund offered. They are creating a rod for their own back if they haven't vastly improved the offering to go along with the substantial price increases. Good for those who don't have to worry about money at the moment and **** us whiny paupers I guess.
  19. I'm sure I read that UEFA's proposed new iteration of FFP will include infrastructure and youth/women's team spending.
  20. Despite a few on here clearly not understanding the very simple point of a consultation, before we see more detailed plans is the perfect time to comment on the design!
  21. Not only did "everyone" not say it, no one did.
