That’s ridiculous but doesn’t surprise me. At least it’s going towards Villa and not Sky/BT/whoever. If I were you I’d pay for the 3 friendlies and contact Villa for a refund on the annual sub.

Is it me or are the training tops the players are wearing in the warmup vs Walsall far nicer than our actual home kit? It looks a lot like the Luke kit from when we got promoted minus the sponsor - gorgeous!

For me it's very difficult to have an opinion on a footballer's choices when I haven't lived in their shoes. Everything goes stale. Novelty wears off. The thought of playing for Villa, in my mind, raises the hairs on the back of my neck but it isn't inconceivable to think that, after nearly 200 appearances, I might then want something else. Something more? Imagine being blessed with a talent that very few have and then spending it toiling away fighting for 8th-17th place finishes, as we were at the time of Grealishs departure. Now let's not forget the guy didn't leave to play for Manchester United and challenge for 2nd or 3rd in the Premier League. He joined one of the greatest teams ever assembled under arguably the best manager to have ever lived and in 2 years has already won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup and the fabled Champions League. Opportunities like that are rare, who can blame him, really? It's a **** game at the end of the day. You don't have to have his poster on your wall and you sure as shit don't have to like him, but I just wish people would let him get on with his life without having this argument over and over again. -
The point is if he performs on the pitch and in training he won't be on the bench, regardless of who we sign. Competition is healthy and we'll have a lot of games next season.

So I'm reading that he is fantastic at, and wants to play as, being a second striker. Has great link up play, is an amazing finisher and well known for scoring from long range. Sounds like the perfect fit.
