i think they would be 20th if they kept rodgers.... from what I've seen, the fans had turned toxic on him and the team stopped playing for him as well.. i think the two games with their co-caretakers are the games that screw them this year. Us and Bournemouth at home iirc. I think they might've gotten something if Dean was there for that Bournemouth match. That being said, everything looks completely different if Maddison doesn't have his penalty saved vs Everton. I am not saying that Deano would be doing a great job if otherwise, but I don't think they would blow a 3-1 lead vs Everton should that have gone in.

They come around fairly often & I think the league wants to continue to expand. Maybe they want to get to 32 teams like the NFL? They’re at 30 now.

how long would it take one of those clubs to just reach a professional level? I think that's really the problem with this as the owners probably are not interested in funding a rise to the top club that takes the better part of a decade to bear fruit for them. To your point on taking over clubs with history and legacy, I remember when we were linked with Red Bull a long time ago... Would've been massive for us, but we probably would've lost the claret & Blue and would be called Red Bull Aston Villa. I look at the clubs which they bought, they completely changed the whole club, from name to colors, and tried to get rid of some history. Like I don't think V Sport will go in and change names of clubs who they invest in.

I heard of Ugarte in Football Manager before, yes. But I have also watched a few Primeria Liga games + some Europa League games. He was always very solid and dependable in those games. Also, he is statistically one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe.

I was going to mention that, Heck isn't a Villa specific guy, but a broad VSports guy.

I guess Watford is good at picking managers, especially picking Rob Edwards at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately for Watford, they let him go and he is now in the Championship play-off final with their biggest rivals in Luton.
