Hello Bit of a strange question, I am after a Dennis Mortimer autograph. I know former players do meets and greets or an audience with events. But does anyone know if there is a way of maybe contacting former players through a 3rd party or has any done anything similar, posted an item through to them and they signed it and posted it back etc and had success. I have seen a few events posted at football clubs near me but they tend to have the 'birmingham' based ex players, other than standing outside VP on a match day and hope to see him pass, i dont know how or best way to get one. cheers all

I watched the game last night I thought we looked good for most of the game. We created a lot.....gave them three goals. Going forward we looked good especially playing through the middle. Second goal was nice to watch. I thought Buendia did well picking up the ball and looking for those through balls which unfortunately were a bit over hit.....but encouraging to see. Playing out from the back.....did well...would just like to see it done a bit quicker....we slow it down a bit too much which allows the oppo to get set which at times we did Marinez went long to watkins and he struggled to bring every pass down. High line......we dropped back a little more in the second half and we looked more safe...no space for that one over the top....sort of on the edge of the middle third and defensive third....a good position to have a back line..in the first half we played high too much...only criticism of Unai....i think we should play it but once we have gotten away with it a few times....drop back a little....close it off...like we did in 2nd half. Great to see some of the youth on the pitch...they played pretty much a starting 11 in both halves.....we had five youth players on the pitch last 30....part from the strength against their back line which are all 6 ft plus they looked composed and played well. Torres looks composed and can pass a ball....special mention...Doug Luiz never been his biggest fan....not because he isnt good...just the hype....but last night I was impressed in the little things he did....drops of the shoulder...creating space. Need a starting RB and reserve GK. But over all good performance can see what Unai has done to them team UTV.

I think if there was an option for either a RB or a striker to come in i would prioritised a new RB. I have always questioned his defensive position....too deep and too tucked in. Can see he is not a natural RB even though he has been playing there a couple of seasons now. The second goal last night...though I blame Martinez for throwing it at him at 100 mph when there is one minute to go till the half...better game management...anyway...he did have time to open out and play it down the line but ultimately came inside and lost it...they scored. Squad player...which is more surprising the let young go

the problem we have with the squad is the quality...not quantity. Outside of the first 11....the bench is substandard at best. We have seen in last few games....a bit of tiredness settle in as the same players were playing twice a week......more so next year with Europe. The traore's.....Bailey's....dendonkers...buendia's....will be relied upon more as more games means more potential injuries....sustaining a league...cup and European campaign is going be tough even before the squad improves. And thats without improving the actual starting 11.....we definitely need a RB, ST and key importantly an ACM.....That KDB Ordegard role that can run the midfield. You could say a LB/LW depending on where Moreno will play.

I was working for the Villa then...and Im sure i have also heard it or read it somewhere since.....Gregory did want Keane but the paying the extra £500k was actually down to Gregory telling Ellis Wolves are getting enough and that they shouldnt be forced to pay more. Either way...he would have been good for us......round about the same time period we had the likes Jouniho.....berkgamp.....even gazza from Itally in the door...but slipped away

with europe and the current squad...id take top half now. I do fear we may end up like west ham this year if the squad is not improved massively....numbers and quality

Just said something in the young chat. Cash has very poor positional sense....and its been happing all season and last season too. He backs off too much and tucks in too much...almost CB Every winger gets a good 30 yards to run at him and all.the space in the world to get a pass....every team we play against exploits this and it ends up.being resolute defending rather than good defending on the edge of the box...or most times....allows a cross to come in. Watch the season back you'll see what I'm.on about. Definitely need a RB and a better one too

We have a small squad as it is....and with room for improvement outside the fist 11 in general let alone the bench. We need numbers with Europe too....i would have kept him for this and for his experience in around the dressing room. He knows he wouldn't get many minutes but at his age I think he would have taken another year deal. Dare I say it....if only he was younger I would have him over cash....cash Sunday just looks a liability everytime the ball goes wide....so much space given up and backs off. We must be in for another RB maybe two because cash as no1 is not good for me

I.admire his efforts and tenacity in games but everytime I watch him I feel he just out of his depth. Whether he is just trying to hard or he just not good enough. I did.have my doubts when we signed him more so for the big price. I think had he been brought for less we could give a him a bit of slack. There are good players in the championship but most often have a glass ceiling, unfortunately I think his is lower prem which is where we don't want to be. There are better players out there and importantly would cost less....or give better output for the same price....back to poor...well....mediocre.... recruitment again which is a different argument. I would keep him...but definitely a position we need better in going into next season

Cant believe some of the criticism he is getting. Barnes is a very good player and can play in most attacking roles. Can play both ways. I'd have him over a 1 in 10 performance from traore or bailey who are out and out wingers all day. More consistent and puts up better numbers.

I take it with a pinch of salt ..but I've heard from a source...who is reliable.... We are back in for Ward Prowse. Cant see it myself...JWP has got west ham all.over it if Rice leaves

To even think about Europe a few weeks ago just shows how are the team and Emry have come and where they have taken us too. IMO i think..as much as Europe would be a great achievement...more so after where we were in Nov....i dont think we have the squad big enough to cope with the extra fixtures. We have seen in recent weeks playing sat...midweek....then again a few days later...the team havent looked as sharp.....playing the same first 11 game in game out...apart from the Newcastle game where we have totally dominated we have had to work hard to get results....and we havent played that well in some...even Unai has said we need to be a bit better and more consistent It would take serious investment in the summer to sustain both. We have some tough fixtures coming up....i admire the positivity of some...but wolves are no push over.....apart from Brighton....they are at home and we havent really gone there before and done well....it will be their cup final as the fans will be up for it. I thought Brighton were brilliant last night...the football is quality and the type of football i would love to see at VP along with some of the players!!!!. They fully deserve the rewards they are getting and yes...they have to win the games in hand...but if it was us with the same fixtures you would favour Brighton over us at this time purely because they are more consistent. Having said that...there is still something to play for for all the teams...can we do it...heart says yes...head says no...Brentford are not far behind us too. Its been a great 2023...i will be disappointed without europe a bit having got close...but....the future...the summer looks great...id take a miss...if it meant we get better players in.....and can have a really go next season...be better...better football....better players....and more consistency!!!!

The club is buzzing at the moment and it comes from him...players....staff...fans...are loving it. This guy knows his stuff....he has brought belief into every part of the club. If we get Europe....brilliant....if not....its not an issue for me as we come so far in such a small time. One thing is for sure though....we have to give him money and let him.bring in who he wants...no moneyball signings..this guy can take us placed we haven't been to in a long time. The future is looking great

Need to wake up...very slow...to reactive....no movement. Making it beast for them. Pick it up a bit they will lose.theor shape as the longer the game goes on...space and chances will.open up....as it is...itnwill only be a matter of time before we concede

We do this to every team....wingers get loads of space to bring it down and then 20 yards to play in....60 yard diags all the time

So passive as a team....just inviting them...need to put more pressure on them higher up...we have had chances and being more proactive we could get higher up the pitch
