    The lack of urgency, purpose and pace to anything we do is a.massive concern. I get we will have bad days but all of that is something that has been missing for a while now and going into the business end of the season needs to be sorted quickly. Also...why are we.such a charity club....yet again another team needing a win or someone to get their first goal...always seems to us giving in to whoever the team is or player needing something

    Such a passive team in attack. More so in defence...its actually quite shocking to see. I know you shouldn't comitt but jeez...at least put a bit of pressure on them

    We need to strengthen in some areas. Right back centre half as as.clement is going back to barca. Though....and its only what I've heard....from someone I know who is well in with an ex players and hero at the club and I quote... Wait till the summer....villa are going big...everyone is proper excited!!!

    Intensity and purpose is killing us at the moment and a few of form. This could go in the Emery thread, but he deserves credit for what he has done so far, but the past couple of games I'm surprised he hasnt changed a few things. The high line - never been a fan from day one...people will say its been working....something like this doesnt work...we get away with it as we giving the opposition an opportunity...something that works denies that opportunity throughout the game. Im not saying we should go low block for example but a low block denies opportunities massively and teams have to figure out the hard was to break it down. A high line will always give you a sniff....and with Martinez some of those wins could have been losses. The boro game without VAR we looked better in defence...why...we sat back just a bit more and denied the space behind. Some have said we need to get wingers on the ball....absolutely...but we are so slow at moving the ball there is neither no pass on...or the winger is forced backwards or inside. Others keep saying we need x....we need y....these players...yes are good players but having say Torres in last night would that have changed much....the high line gamble...no.....the movement....no...the intensity...no...maybe a better distribution but other than that not much. For me...Emery needs to just go back to basics a bit.....drop the high line a bit...get confidence in back line....and importantly make us less risky to the over the top and counter attacks...then when confidence is back...introduce it again. But the massive one....lets get some energy...some purpose and intensity....we are so passive its like watching kids defend....defence starts from attacking....pressing...forcing mistakes...not holding a line and hoping they go offisde. we need PURPOSE and need it quick before we start running out of games.

    I think Doug is a good player but I do think he gets hyped to much. For me when we are on top he looks great because technically he is very good and has a bit of swagger in him. But for me I just dont think he dominates the midfield...he is neither running the show attacking wise...pulling the strings nor being that rock in the middle. Its all easy 10 yard passes with the centre halves which we do need but when we have three in the middle we need more from him in attack and defence. In addition his movement is poor...he often looks busy by just standing next to someone...especially when playing out from the back....Kamara is guilty of this too....he is very ball shy when the game is open...his form is off and he with others it is showing more in recent performances. Ill probably get hammered for it but just watch in the game....especially his movement when we have the ball.

    Tactics are not the problem It's the intensity or lack of thats killing our play. Then you chuck in...and I'm not just saying this...two midfielders who don't want the ball.in the middle in kamara and luiz. Then there's no attacking threat. They are technically very good.players but play with the safety on too much to be effective in going forward

    I'm not allowed to go to Wembly to watch the VIlla....the only game I have seen them win is the semi final against Bolton. As such I was not allowed jokingly by friends not to go to the Derby playoff ecause of my curse....and of course....they won

    i have said this before in other chats. We lack the cutting edge in the final third due to the simple fact we do not move the ball quick enough. We allow the opposition to set and wait for us...it all most become a stand off.....we wont move until they move...they wont move until we do....its not other teams parking the bus. Using the liverpool as mentioned above game as example...they move the ball quick to create space and unsettle the opposition back line. We have done this at times but to often its slow....and the lack of movement also doesn't help. This is even when our wingers get the ball compared to the oppo...one has space to run at...ours...often have to come back...thus killing the play and having to reset. Dont get me wrong....at times patient play is good but as all good teams have shown...they stay patient and then attack at pace...we seem to generally be at one pace all game. If we do have a oppo team that will set easily we need to drag them around...create the space and have that one player who can find that line breaking pass....Teilemens showed this when he came on at Everton....we stated getting in round the back and looking more dangerous in that final third.

    Increasing the revenue from a 'fan' is always going to hard. Most of the big clubs have tourist 'fan's. I think Utd said something like we dont care about the ticket to the game....its the £200 they spend in the shop. Unfortunately we dont have these tourist fans....add in the london factor....there is a choice of teams to watch top flight football....we are on our own and Birmingham isnt as popular as London. Maybe the marketing department could do something with this but who knows. If we are looking at selling merchandise....its outrageous that a shirt costs the upmost of £70. I don't buy one but for my two kids its round the same price and they change them every year. The demand for kit is high but the price deters people....im not maths expert but if a shirt was say £40 I'd be more inclined to but all three at £120 so for two kids that £100 more than just selling one shirt. If more do that....surely thats way more £ in the clubs pocket????

    With all the bad press Heck has got recently then fair play to him for getting Adidas involved. Though good....Ill wait to see the new badge on the new kit.....and what the deal is before I pass judgement. Still has a bit to do for me....but lets see

    Great to see we have a profitable academy. But is there anyway or someone out there know how successful we have been at producing our own who have 1. Played for the first team 2. Gone on to have good careers either in Prem or Championship. I had this argument with a west ham fan who claimed they are the academy of football.....i could only name Rice.....Defoe.....Lampard and Ferdinand We have had probably two or three a year let alone four over 25 years???

    Some say low block....sitting back. You can but for then past 4 or 5 games we haven't looked sharp....or have that cutting edge. Teams are not sitting back...or low block....they are just saying OK....we know you aren't going to move the ball quick....pull us around...we will just sit here and wait. We look slow...lack of movement in the middle kills us....kamara and dendonker especially....Luiz is also guilty of this lately. Need to really up the temp....we aren't missing X player...or need X player. Even with those we would still play the same. Movement....and tempo.

    Because we are allowing them to set because we don't move the ball quick. They ain't going to move if we aren't....easy defending. They ain't pressing in final third....we have gone long most of the time and they have soaked it up. Move the ball quick the space will open up naturally

    We were too slow and static at times. Playing a team who park the bus you can't keep playing sideways and slow. Our best play came from moving behind their back four. They were happy to just sit knowing we were going to play slow....even obvious passes were so telegraphic....just pass the ball. It didn't help cash on the right getting opportunities to run at the LB only to cut back and allow them to regroup. We struggle against teams.like this...very rare we see our wingers one and one with the fullbacks. But a point is a point....disappointing but it always is when we get hyped
