  1. "Took the ball". And there was me being told he "received" it. **** joke.
  2. This this this a thousand times. I've been saying it yet I get looked at like I have two heads for suggesting the game is corrupt. It's worth billions, with billions staked each week, almost exclusively sponsored by foreign bookies, and with governing bodies as bent as the PL, UEFA and FIFA and refs are paid a comparative pittance. Of COURSE corruption and match fixing is rife, it would be miraculous if it was otherwise. You'd need comparative pennies to buy a ref. £50k into a secret offshore bank account for chucking us a dodgy pen here, a dodgy offside decision there, of course it happens and of course they take it. VAR is just one more official that can be bought. VAR is probably the best one to buy off as it's so secretive and inscrutable.
  3. Watkins was onside. He was behind the ball when it was played so the defender was irrelevant in this one.
  4. "I've seen enough to be encouraged" says Bruce. **** hell.
  5. I really tried to stay away after the match midweek. That absolutely broke my will and my love for the 'sport'... It proved beyond any doubt to me that the game is in the pockets of someone, whether it's the big clubs or the betting syndicates I don't know. I guess it would be surprising if a £billions industry sponsored almost exclusively by gambling companies wasn't bent. Especially in the hands of such noble folk as the Premier League, UEFA and FIFA. I wanted to take a bit of time off, at least until we could go back to villa park and it was proper. My will lasted til 7.58pm. I couldn't do it. Felt I was turning my back on the club and the manager and the players when I've never been more proud of what were building. So I had to come back. Glad I did. What a fantastically professional performance that was. I'll probably avoid watching any televised matches against the Manc words removed in the future, but I can't turn my back on this bunch, try as I might. Really building something here. Despite the choreography from the PL and it's bent officials. **** you Friend, **** you fat word removed Moss. Newcastle are a disgrace and are really stinking the league out. Shame Fulham are so shit and probably won't catch them.
  6. Mellberg was inexplicably right back most of the time Laursen was playing.
  7. I hope he chokes on his dirty cash. Fat word removed.
  8. I'm bowing out and gonna try and take the season off football after that. The straw that broke the camel's back. I really like what were trying to build, out manager, our ethos, our players; but I honestly believe this game is bent to the core. It's a soap opera designed to generate money from foreign fans. It's a machine that doesn't care about proper fans, it just wants it's big stars to win to generate cash. That's not the game I grew up loving. That's one too many nights ruined for me. I might fail, but I'm gonna try and go cold turkey and not watch another game all season. The world is shit enough at the minute without corrupt institutions playing me for a mug and taking my money. With a heavy heart, I'm **** off.
  9. Bent. No question. Too much money in the...well, I was gonna say 'sport' but it's not. But too much money in whatever this soap opera is for it not to be.
  10. Same here. Think I'm gonna try and **** the Newcastle match off and see how it goes. Just ruins my nights seeing this corrupt shit fest.
  11. It doesn't matter what you do in this "sport", the rules.change.mjnite by minute to suit the 'big' teams. It's bent as **** and I think that's the final straw for me. **** this sport, it's as real as wrestling.
  12. How is that not offside??????? Wesley heel is offside a minute after, and that's not?? Done with this **** game.
  13. I think our 7-2 might have covered that one!
  14. Didn't realise Swansea were doing so well. I hope they come up now and if Hourihane signs for them then I hope he has a good year or two in their first team in the Premier League. He deserves it.

After celebrating I did suddenly get the VAR fear... Imagine if they ruled that one out for some spurious reason. Would have been devastating.
  16. Money isn't the issue for the NHS though at the moment, it's more the lack of supply of vaccines. Every vaccine to a young, fit footballer who has no realistic chance of developing serious complications is one less vulnerable person who can be vaccinated. Taking a few thousand vaccines from the vulnerable to footballers will be guaranteed to result in deaths which could otherwise have been avoided. It wouldn't look great.

I celebrated that goal more than the last minute winners we've had this season. Delighted for the kid, and loved his post match interview trying to stay calm but just unable to keep the grin off his face. Bet he didn't get much sleep last night. I see no reason with a bench of nine he can't get a place. He doesn't have to replace Davis on the bench, there's room for them both. No harm in giving him the odd ten minutes to get a taste for it. Like someone said above he's such a little fella you wonder if he's got the strength, but he was strong enough to shrug off the Liverpool defender. And what a cool finish. Making your debut for your club at 17 against the champions and scoring in front of the Holte. He's living all of our boyhood dreams. Just a shame the Holte wasn't packed to celebrate with him.
  18. Money isn't the issue though at the moment, it's getting hold of vaccines. So another way of looking at it is those are 5,500 doses that we can't get into the over 80s until we get more deliveries, which is another 100 dead folk that could have been prevented.
  19. Mourinho being a prick? Say it ain't so!
  20. Anyone know how tall he is? Looked a right lanky bugger.
  21. With nine subs and our lack of depth up front I don't see how he isn't on the bench next league match, whenever that is.
  22. Wow. Did not expect this. Whatever happens now, what a night for these lads. Their parents must be in bits.
