  1. Not like Ollie scores a shit load tho is it?
  2. And who’s gonna pay player X’s wages for the next 5 years when we don’t want him any more because he wasn’t actually what we wanted in the first place? There’s two sides to every coin my friend.
  3. Relax people, relax. We are fine. Trust the process. Let’s not wish for more shitty contracts being dished out to shitty players. Let’s just wait and see what happens. NSWE went out and got us an Elite manager. Elite players will follow. If not now, then in the summer. Anyway, all the cashiers are probably just busy taking Chelsea’s orders.
  4. Nobody should buy any chelsea player.
  5. Don’t be ridiculous. Everyone knows paydays are Tuesdays. That’s why we buy on Wednesdays. oh… wait…
  6. Should’ve kept Gerrard on as an ambassador. Send him round to get players to sign.
  7. Bed wetting opinion. I have no reasoned argument. *grabs popcorn and waits for @HKP90 to lose his shit *
  8. I can’t disagree with you, but I’m just looking at it in the longer term. We need to get the players we want rather than panic buying. I really hope we pull off a couple of deals before the deadline, but I want them to be prime targets. We’ve been stuck with average players before, so no more of that please. If we bring in players, they need to be better than what we let go, or just not bother.
  9. like I said before, even if we sign nobody, I’m relaxed - write the season off and get the players we want in the summer. obviously would be happier if we bought some, but not the end of the world for me. In it for the long game for once.
  10. 1) If we didn’t have money, we wouldn’t have gone out to get Emery. We were in the shit and Emery was having a good time. Why ditch that gig to come here without reassurances? 2) This is likely very true. And hence why we’re probably going to be signing on deadline day as good players generally like to weigh up all possible offers before making a choice. Unfortunately this is we are at at the moment. Feeding off scraps from the big table. But rather this than signing a player that no one else wants, no?
  11. Trust the process chappy. Even if we get no one in, I won’t be upset. Sometimes you need to have a good clear out and start from the beginning. If we have to wait until the summer to get option A, then rather that than splurge a load of cash on option b/c/d who we then need to move on again. We’re not going down, and Europe is a tough ask. I’m completely chilled. Let Emery do his work.
  12. If we sign nobody, I shall apologise on behalf of Aston Villa to you. Twice.
  13. I think all failed medicals happen in that order. What order would you expect them to occur in? What player would go for a medical with another team without having a concrete offer on the table?
  14. Rather have 3 points against the likes of Norwich. West Ham were in a European final last year. Can you ever see us missing out in a player to Norwich? Or Bournemouth? Europe and London could swing a player towards West Ham though.
  15. Only logical answer is West Ham going down. They have spent £180m this season. That’s some spending power.
  16. Emery has a plan. His plan involves players with certain attributes. Sanson doesn’t fit that plan. Ings didn’t fit that plan. Both got moved on. Doesn’t make them bad players, just means we need something different. I’m so happy that we have a manager that has a plan, and doesn’t say ‘course’
  17. I googled man in basement to photoshop… But that looks like a basement. and that looks like Guendouzi
  18. There was a parting of the flaps, and then there was the emergence of Hank Scorpio.
  19. Since when have transfermarkt been used as the guide to how much a bid should be made? Probably some random chap no different to me or you making some random numbers up. For example, we just paid £18m for John Duran. They have him valued at £6m. The valuations on tranfermarkt are worthless made up shit. When a player is under contract, the ONLY valuation that matters is the selling clubs valuation (or of course a minimum fee release clause)

Ok destroyed isn’t the right word, but It was a joy to watch. They were camped in their area. Backs to the wall for a team placed in 3rd place against the youngest team in the prem. You have to be impressed. And T hey earned that lucky 90th minute winner. They would have been unlucky not to win that game quite frankly.

To be fair, they absolutely destroyed them. It was a joy to watch.
  22. I’d love to say not a chance in hell… but after my little episode with @Don_Simon re: selling Ings… I’m not saying a word lol.
  23. Not at all. I think the main criticism was he wasn’t getting game time even when we were dogshit under Gerrard. 3 successive managers have failed to give him an extensive run in the team, which at the very least goes to show that he’s no significant upgrade on those starting before him, but more likely to show that there’s nothing in his game that warrants him starting. He needs to move on for his career, and we need to move on with our process. Best all round that he goes and performs for Salzburg so we can at least get Al some kind of fee for him.
  24. I get this, but generally wishing someone would ‘**** off’ implies exactly that you have issues with someone as a person. Otherwise ‘I wish he’d move on’ would suffice, no?
