Why try and spin it in to cost cutting? He's shit, we should never have signed him anyway, he's 33, it's a no brainer and IMO a simple football decision I would sell Baker or Clark before Lescott. He put a good performance in last game ( 1st time for everything. ) So yeah selling Lescott might be good if we are getting money for him but don't expect it to be put back into a replacement. Expect more fun and games from calamity Clark and Rubbish Richards! Like i said the club know we are down so selling him now makes more business sense.

The bit that made me laugh was money does not buy success.. So Man City got where they are from working hard? They were just like us a struggling team, then got very rich owners who threw money at anything. They eventually won the title! Once you become successful then you start getting higher gates better sponsorship deals and money from the CL and better players. Come the end of the season our squad will be decimated by players that want to leave ( and probably for magic beans!) So will the plan be not to spend but rely on what we have left and youth until we become more self sufficient? Good luck in trying to get out the Championship with that attitude Steve! If you want out the Championship you have to do it 1st time by using your parachute payment money. You cant expect to just come back up its a very tough league to get out of look at Forest and Leeds.... We may have spent 50m but most of it was from selling 2 good players! Net spent was around 8m? The money wasn't invested well in recruitment out of the 13 players signed only a few have made the grade. Good luck tho Steve you are going to need it!

Well from what i saw of the game before my Internet went off ( grr Virgin!!) There was a corner and he was surrounded by a fair few players he managed to punch the ball away. Guzan would have flapped at that and a goal would have resulted from it. Give him a run he deserves a chance, it might give Guzan the kick up the ass he needs!

Feel sorry for him, he has inherited a pretty crap squad. His substitutions can be a bit frustrating tho. I think he will be here next season ( unless he walks ) so i would let him do what he wants. Ship out anyone now that don't want to play in the Championship next season. Build a team now that can challenge and come back up. But remember we have Randy Lerner as owner and i doubt there will be funds for Remi.

He deserves a chance but we would rather stick a bloke with the movement of a 200 year old oak tree up front! I think he will be on his way this window and to be honest if i was in his shoes i would be asking my agent to get me a new club asap!!

I fully expect Lerner to wait until we're back in the PL and go from there. When we go down i don't expect us to come back up. We have no ambition! Lerner has tried running a Premier league club like a Championship club, so when we go down i fully expect the purse strings to be tightened even more! As i keep saying this is the richest era of football and to be making loses just shows how poor this bloke is making business decisions! I think he would struggle to run a bath!!
