Knowing our luck we would shell out 15 million on him then he would get clattered in his 1st game and that would be his season over! Big risk and i dont think it is worth 15 million, maybe 7 and bonuses taking the transfer up to 12 miliion if he stays injury free etc

Well what other really serious options do we have? We will be in desperate need for a striker to replace Benteke, cant rely on Kozak or Gabby to bang in 20+ goals! I would take him on a loan or a short term contract. Bring him in and someone lesser known but with potential and it could work. We know he can score goals in the premier league when he is on his A game. We could sign some wonder kid who scored 40 goals in a European league but come here and struggle in his 1st season, we need an experienced head.

Downside is clubs now know we have £40 million to spend so the prices will be at a premium. Club wont be held to ransom over players but we also cant afford not to invest in a new striker to replace Benteke who's goals have kept us from been a championship side!

Shocking teams. If that is the squad that starts the season we are down its awful! But we have £40 million to spend so we should see at least 4 new additions 1 been a proven goalscorer! 49 million! You are having a laugh! Vastly overpriced! Big deal he can run fast ( runs like a girl tho) and scores some goals.... Was always going to happen we spend 9 million on a player ( still waiting on work permit) someone was always going to make way! Typical Villa summer PR put "bids" in for players make fans think we are going to spend some money I'm going to buy a season ticket now. .. Thats the worring thing, i dont want to see this waste of oxygen put a Villa shirt on again! The FA cup performance was the final nail in a coffin that has had a fair few nails!! He did not give a crap. He only had one good season with Wigan, we paid for what we thought would be a great player, all we got was a turd.
