    I think the issue is where I am probably judging how I would’ve looked to save it if that was me in a game at the level that I play at. With the greatest of respect to the players I play against, I don’t think they’re quite on that same level as what Emi is facing on a regular basis.

    I just felt that a more central position might have given Dibu that extra yard to maybe make the save as he got fingertips to it anyway. It’s hard to be too critical of him as I’d say his positioning is definitely one of his strong points.

    Hopefully we are now entering a hot streak. He does such a job up top, I think this is where some of Duran’s frustration arises from because Ollie sets such high standards in so many metrics, he’s hard to dislodge from our side even if he hasn’t scored in a few matches.

    I can’t lie, it’s growing on me. I didn’t like that the Lerner badge said AVFC rather than Aston Villa, which is fixed. I guess there will never be a badge that we all love.

    Would this new badge have been better received by you if we had transitioned straight from the Lerner badge to this one?

    But mate, it’s just a badge. Perhaps it’s different because I have no particular dislike for it, or because I have other personal stuff going on, but I just don’t see the point of getting angry about it. It’s not going to change my feelings for the club, and I’m not going to stop watching on tv or going to games, so I just let it go. Try and be positive Nick, they might change it to one you like in 4 years time when they change it again?

    In a bit of a slump goalscoring-wise, but he’s feeding off scraps. If he’s missing lots of chances then I’d be worried, but he’s barely getting a sniff most games.

    I believe that MON ‘scouted’ him as a pundit for BBC at the 2006 World Cup while representing Togo. I’m so glad that we’re a proper football club these days!

    Ramsey? If you’re genuinely telling me that you’d take Gallagher over Ramsey then I don’t even know what to tell you.

    They’re all decent enough squad signings, but none of those 3 get into Spurs strongest XI imo. With them still to come to VP I’m still confident that we can finish ahead of them this season.

    I find it funny how Heck (like Purslow before him) is to blame for all the things we don’t like, but NSWE are behind everything positive and good. It seems they are bulletproof from criticism from 99% of the fan base. This isn’t meant to necessarily be a negative post about NSWE as I think they have been tremendously successful since their purchase of the club, but I think people are being incredibly naive if they don’t think that any of the decisions made or things put into place that they disapprove of haven’t had the full blessing of Nas & Wes.

    This, and they sell a lot of shirts. Plus you have to remember their trajectory at the time of negotiations and the wealth that they have behind them. While we are on a similar level currently, I believe their ceiling is probably higher than ours longer term.
