I’m fairness I think it’s because it wasn’t dangerous play, or a potential penalty. How I look at it is we got away with one against Everton when Konsa could’ve easily seen red on another day. The challenge on McGinn didn’t affect the result so it’s easier to take.

Only my opinion obviously, but I think Saturday was his best game in a Villa shirt, definitely since our return to the PL. Considering the general concern about not bringing in any midfielders this summer, our midfield have generally played well since the opening day disaster at Watford, McGinn arguably being the pick of the bunch.

I’m sorry but I hate this chip on our shoulder that we get about the media/other clubs supporters and how they view our manager or players. Let’s be honest as soon as it becomes widely recognised that we’ve got a top person within our ranks, it doesn’t usually end well. As long as we know how good they are, and they’re doing the business for us then it’s all that matters surely?

Got to be the most improved player so far this season? Some of his crosses have been absolutely sublime, totally revelling in this RWB role.

I’m just so happy as a Villa fan right now. We have a likeable, competitive, hard working team, but we have quality also. Pretty reflective of their manager I think.

Exactly mate, he ticks all the boxes that Southgate likes. I’m enjoying watching him develop nicely for us, he’s going to be a top player.

I’m glad that Southgate hasn’t picked him, but I must say it does surprise me that such a calm defender like Ezri hasn’t been given an opportunity at international level. I guess it’s to our benefit that he hasn’t.

To be fair mate, I’d rather the club do what is best for the club. As far as adjusting, teams will generally work on team shape etc in training the day/s before a match. If it even gives us a 1% advantage by keeping quiet about an injury then it’s the right thing to do IMO.

I’d highly doubt he’s ruptured his quad. I’m no doctor, but have torn a quad before and there’s no way he walks off that pitch unaided last Saturday with a ruptured quad.

It’s funny but this is the exact point I made to my dad this morning. He’s not spectacular or controlling games, but he’s gone from a 3/10 on the ball to a 5/10 or 6/10 on the ball and he almost looks like a new player.

It makes me really angry, guy has a monster of a game and feels the need to have to apologise for his penalty being saved. Absolutely fantastic last night!

Success means “The accomplishment of an aim or purpose” I understand that you might have got it’s meaning slightly wrong, but you cannot deny that we have been relatively successful in a realistic sense.
