  1. This is becoming a big issue on this forum, and it’s usually from people providing criticism. This whole “I can’t say anything on here” attitude is tiresome and childish, if you’re going to offer a negative opinion on something then you have to accept that someone will probably call you out on it.
  2. I was given one of the 1/4 zip training tops at the weekend for my birthday, I usually wear medium but this was large and it’s a pretty good fit. I couldn’t have got away with a medium put it that way Go one size up from your normal size for sure.
  3. You’re so right with this. We were “fickle” and “unrealistic” when we were languishing in mid table in the Championship, but they seem keen to hound a manager who has constantly improved us out of a job when we are comfortable in the PL. The idiots on Twitter don’t help, as it allows them to build a narrative that “the fans have turned”.
  4. I can’t believe there is such an obsession now with the football reporting media hounding managers out of jobs. I appreciate a large amount of it is click-bait nonsense rather than anything with an ounce of credibility. I guess like seemingly everything else in this world, it’s just getting more and more toxic by the day.
  5. I might be wrong but I think it’s from the interview he did on the podcast with Graham Hunter. If so then it is definitely out of context.
  6. He really did, like I said in a previous post I felt that was when we seemed to lose a lot of our impetus.
  7. I don’t know as he got it very early. Perhaps Dean felt if he was going to take one out of the midfield to opt for the least experienced of the 3?
  8. See I felt when Ramsey went off that we seemed to really lose our rhythm going forward, not a knock on Bailey but I felt that had a bigger effect on us than conceding the second goal. I agree that it’s exciting to see that we’ve got options now, it’s not that long ago that our change in attack was Trez on for El Ghazi or vice versa.
  9. How about you just let us watch the video Dave?
  10. Yeah but blah blah blah accounting profit blah blah blah Mings is old.
  11. For god’s sake, don’t you know that’s Lange’s job!
  12. Let’s leave it here Peter, you’re offering no alternative suggestion, and you just put words in people’s mouth to carry on your boring narrative that you have all week in the January transfer thread. No one has said any of those things.
  13. He’ll just say that it’s Lange’s job.
  14. @Peter Griffin Konsa is a cracking defender no doubt, but what we don’t know yet is whether he can lead our defence. That is not a knock on Ezri, he has not had the opportunity to prove this as he has not had a prolonged spell in defence without Tyrone bar the odd game. Tyrone is the leader of our defence, mistakes and all, and he’s a bloody good one. To answer your questions, a club like Villa is a mid table club which in fairness we only barely have the rights to call ourselves even that, as we have finished mid table in the PL once in the last 10 years. I said a version of Mings that doesn’t make mistakes, for me of Mings didn’t make the occasional errors that he does for us, then he plays for a top 6 club simple as that.
  15. But that wasn’t what I asked mate.
  16. But does a version of Mings that rarely makes mistakes play for a club like Aston Villa?
  17. I’m not sure about Buendia and the effect he would’ve had from the start yesterday, would’ve been a good option off the bench perhaps? Perhaps we wouldn’t have matched Chelsea up formation-wise if Buendia had been available, although I think yesterday the formation was right, we were just undone by a couple of individual errors. Obviously Martinez would’ve been an improvement over Steer, I think Martinez saves the 3rd goal as while it was a good strike it wasn’t right in the top corner. He might’ve even stopped the 2nd as he’s usually very quick off his line, but I guess we’ll never know.
  18. Good cameo yesterday, I think he’s going to be very exciting.
  19. Having Ollie back in the team made such a difference, we wouldn’t have been able to press them the way we did otherwise. He’s just such a handful. First touch was indeed a little off at times, but I think it’s understandable in a first start back after injury.
  20. Another cracking performance yesterday. He’s developing nicely into a terrific young player.
  21. It was a poor error for the second goal, but bad passes happen. For me, his error on the third goal was probably worse as it was bad defending - you don’t get beaten there, but I wonder if he was mindful of already being on a yellow as he seemed to pull out of making a challenge. I put it down to a bad day at the office, for me his positives still outweigh the negatives.
  22. Big 4 0 today, 3 points with a slightly depleted squad would be the best present from Dean and the boys! Got a good feeling about today! Come on the Villa!!
  23. So fifa have caved and are allowing the South American players to be available for selection for this weekend’s fixtures. What a joke!
  24. Perhaps to keep Chelsea guessing?
