I'm sure there is still a decent player in there somewhere, but it doesn't seem like he wants to do it for us anymore... I have faith in Emery to get the best out of the squad and improve where he sees fit... and it would appear that Phils time with us is drawing to what seems like a disappointing close... We have hit a bit of a purple patch since Emery took over and Coutinho has done little-to-nothing towards that... Shame really...

Yep… and even though all football matches in the league are recorded and have camera crews present, it’s only the “big” clubs that regularly get TV time on Sky… but you can watch any game you like on digital TV in Thailand and Korea and Egypt… but if they gave everyone the option to watch the other clubs, those clubs would have to receive some TV money too… and that wouldn’t be fair on Chelsea, Citeh etc

My football manager campaign which is about 14 years in the future says differently… He did quite well at Villa before moving to Newcastle… Then again, my old FM campaign in 2007 had Nathan Delfoneso scoring the winning goal for England against Wales in the World Cup final… So it evidently isn’t a crystal ball…

Not at all… Players come and go… but I tend to keep my appreciation/affection/fond memories for players that leave under 3 very distinct rules: 1) The Mellberg rule Leaves to another country and doesn’t kick a ball against us 2) The Albrighton/Carew rule Leaves because they are pretty much forced to… Didn’t want to go, but due to not being offered a new contract or being out of favour with the management, are hamstrung into leaving 3) The Laursen/Petrov/Nilis rule Enough said

Top clubs wouldn’t even be allowed to be top clubs if it wasn’t for Aston Villa… We invented the league system… We graciously gave them the opportunity to actually compete for something… Top echelon? We are as close to Godhood as a sporting establishment could be… Fans of those lesser heathen clubs should be kissing our hairy beanbags for what Villa selflessly gave them…

He asked for it… His dad got a wallet full for it as well… “Mr Aston Villa”, “Mr Villa till I die”, “Mr I’ll always be a Villa fan” decided that the sounds of Man City fans cheering and the sight of smiles on their faces was more important than that of the happiness of “his own”… Bollocks to him… -
I agree… He struggled immediately after being brought on so unexpectedly… but grew into the game… His goal line clearance will have done wonders for his confidence (what a clearance it was) and he almost bagged himself a goal too… Fingers crossed he gets into his groove with us sooner rather than later!
