  1. Me neither. He comes across as articulate and savvy in interviews. Have heard and read people say he is approachable and seems to be a good guy in person too. That Craig Butler (is it his agent? Dad? Stepdad? - something like that) seems to be a bit of a loose cannon/knob though
  2. He’s found his stride under Emery. Knows what it is that he is being asked to do and he is doing it effectively… Long may it continue
  3. That goal against West Brom where he passed it past the keeper into the bottom corner was just cool as ****
  4. Depends… Ok, they are easy on the eye… but can they catch an inswinging corner in a crowded penalty area?
  5. Such a shame. He seems likeable enough - but for all of his effort, he is way off what we require and we just can’t rely on him… My stomach turns every time I see his name on a team sheet in a playing capacity. We do need to improve on him though, but it’s not nice seeing him get dogs abuse…
  6. We are allowed to… We invented league football that the whole world enjoys… For that reason alone, we should be able to do whatever we like
  7. We did… we were regularly qualifying for Europe, nobody gave a flying **** about Man City… we had a squad of England internationals… Then they started cheating…
  8. On the contrary, City caused Lerner to pull the plug. Had a sovereign nation not bankrolled them, we would have felt like we could still compete in the transfer market. It was their cheating and blowing everyone out of the water that caused Lerner to pack it up. Its all sliding doors and if-buts-and-maybes… but the key thing that caused our downfall was their takeover and cheating and buying our players… if any other club had done it, I would have hated them, but they didn’t, it was City… **** em
  9. What if Apple employed dodgy business practices which went a long way towards Samsung going to shit?
  10. How?! Those rat bastard Manc **** benefitted the most from the worst period in our clubs recent history by systematically dismantling us and taking our captain as soon as he broke into the England squad! And they did it all by breaking the rules too!
  11. Love how Accrington’s chairman has used the now classic line of “Put that in your Netflix show”… Just like Billy Sharp… Dying to get a bit of fame
  12. Me too. Just goes to show what a bit of quality management and well drilled coaching can bring out of a player
  13. Nobody is taking a shot, we are utterly gutless… So frustrating to watch…
  14. I need sectioning? Why? because I came up with an analogy? what about the dozens of grown adults on this forum - fawning over a bloke who left, plucking petals from a rose, waiting patiently for the day that he comes back (because he said he wants to, and that must mean he loves you) despite the fact that he couldn’t have made it clearer he didn’t want to be around you anymore… to the point that he was more than happy to cheat when he was playing against you and celebrated quite passionately that his cheating helped to make you lose? That, to me, is just as bizarre
  15. This is true. However, hypothetically, if your childhood sweetheart who you’d been with for years and who openly told you how much she loved you one day got an offer from the local lowlife to become the next big thing in pornography… And she decided to go for it because “it’s a short career” and she “could win awards”… but, after she was all worn out, not the woman she once was and the whole world had shot their load over her… she promised she would come back to you… Would you take her back?
  16. He preferred the idea of doing stupid little dances for their verminous fans and hearing dirty Mancs cheering his name than “his own”
  17. I don’t give credit to anyone who leaves us so they can cheat to win things…
  18. Unai has now made it abundantly clear that our second string is nowhere close to being good enough if we want to win silverware or be competitive at the top end of the table...
  19. That’s not true… Had he done what Jude did and went abroad to one of Europe’s super clubs, I don’t think you’d find a Villa fan alive who wouldn’t have wished him a fond fairwell… but to go to Citeh the way he did? My club + release clause? To exactly the same team? Makes him no less of a snake than Delph… Moreso considering the narrative of how he was “Mr Aston Villa”, “Mr Villa till I die” and then he dived against us as well… Out of all of our former captains who just broke into the England squad who up sticks and left for them? He is easily the most despicable
  20. Heard a little factoid on the radio the other day that apparently Plymouth is the largest city in the UK to have a team that has never been in the top division of English football...
  21. Young never pretended to be a Villa fan to get us all on side… He was an employee who did his job… Grealish was supposed to be one of us… but ended up as the second coming of Fabian Delph…
  22. That’s what I thought… The gauntlet has been laid down now by the signings of Diaby and Zaniolo… Leon HAS to show what he is made of now
  23. I thought he brought some flair and arrogance to our play… Did his bit… Looking forward to what more he can do!
