  1. If Happy Clappers are your idea of an atmosphere then you have lost the plot!
  2. I would hope Super John with all the time resting and now with Covid is a dab hand on Fifa!
  3. I loved Platt hence the username being the headline after our 6-2 win over Everton 1989 but different player to Jack. Sid made Platt for me. Jack is the better player in my opinion.
  4. Add Barry Davies to that too! Motson on Brazil v Italy 1982 World Cup is class as you can tell he is just a fan watching a great game of footy!
  5. But they cannot spend all that money without breaking FFP and you still have to convince players to live in Newcastle.
  6. The Premier League would look daft cancelling the season at present. The Government have just extended the lock down for another 3 weeks. If at the end of that they ease restrictions on movement for certain people/businesses, that will allow decisions to made.
  7. But teams need to think of not just this pandemic what if it happens again? Say earlier in the season and Man Utd have had a terrible start and in the bottom 3. Whatever is decided here is going to be used next time so clubs need to think about that when voting.
  8. REO Speedwagon lead singer especially!
  9. But they have not relegated Hearts yet from the Prem. They are talking about a 14 team Prem up from 12 and promoting 2 teams from the Highland Leagues to League 2 to keep the leagues equal. Obviously easier with small leagues though.
  10. Early days Cantona was amazing. Bergkamp for longevity. Henry was my favourite. Mellberg for Villa. I am not counting Irish players as foreign!
  11. I watched a game before the lockdown that was played behind closed doors i forget who now as I switched it off after a couple of mins! It was that bad without the fans was like a friendly! Must have been a European game. No fans makes football pointless. I am someone that watches any footy if its on the box but no fans was a step too far! Premier League comes back without fans I will not be watching that's for sure even Villa
  12. If we went down it would depend on the circumstances that happened for me. If it was on some stupid rejigged points system then I think the authorities would make refs give us everything to get back up first time. I agree it was harder than I thought first season and was not much better for the other 2 apart from a few streaks. To relegate us after 28 games could be the end of the club. I just cannot see it happening but then what do I know!
  13. @newhavenhibby Dundee can decide if Dundee Utd get promoted. Is it a religious divide like Glasgow and Edinburgh? Any love loss between the 2? How do you see it playing out as obviously Hearts go down if Dundee Utd come up!?
  14. Indeed and there is more where that came from!
  15. Banshee is class proper violent, tits and explosions what more can a man ask for!
  16. Even though the Final was amazing nothing could top the Semi 2nd Leg!
  17. Dalian Atkinson, Tranmere 1994, 88th minute still makes that hair on the back of my neck stand up when I watch it today!
  18. Nike have said that Liverpool will finish this season in NB whenever that/if that is.
  19. Can I add to this that when this lockdown is lifted and pubs/clubs reopen then I think the country will put VE Day to shame. It is going to be a massive party.
  20. Bang I lost the plot back right side of The Holte End after this hit the net! What a night that was!
  21. Whole of Euro 96 available on ITV hub from May. ITV4 showing the England games and final if you do not have a smart tv.
  22. Some sports journalists actually understand the severity of the situation. I was reading the weekend that the Premier League is in denial over Covid-19. Playing games behind closed doors still requires an ambulance on standby in case of injuries. That will not be happening anytime soon. Also players are human too not in some bubble because they earn a fortune! They have family and elderly relatives like the rest of us. They will not want to be training or playing anytime soon. Premier League and these stupid pundits need to drop it must be finished. They need to be saying football will stand by the country in its time of need and do what needs to be done. If that is supporting the smaller clubs to protect the football pyramid then so be it. They have the money.
