Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis has set his sights on a move to England. Ramis, 27, has been linked with Aston Villa and Sunderland and told AS: "This could be the ideal moment to make a change and the Premier League is a destination that appeals because I like the football there. "I want to have more challenges, more dreams and to play in the English league would be an important step for me." As MattyG pointed out, if the other linked team are Sunderland I'd say it's a one horse race as we all know MONs reach doesnt go that far unless he saw him play while doing punditry for the beeb.

Think someone mentioned in the transfer speculation that his agent is supposed to be over here in talks , so who knows . Let's hope so, a loan deal with an option to buy and it's not even a gamble really.

Also, these are the players we should be targetting, alot of the England team at the moment (10/23) had played in lower leagues and that does not include loans. That's not including players who missed out on the squad like Smalling & Walker. We need to buy these players before they become stars and head off to the very very big clubs, it's the only way we can grow into a top force other than an Abramovic or City type takeover.

Must say it's great to have a manager who appears to have options, when we sold Luke Young it was so obvious we were going to sign Hutton. Naughton, Gunter & Clyne all good young players, and Clyne who'd probably be the cheapest of the three would be the one Id want to be honest.

Just wondering what people have for lunch. Since I started working last August after 4 years in college, Ive either been going somewhere for a sit down lunch (and then basically been having two dinners in one day) or else eating sausage rolls, pies etc. The pounds have been piling on bit by bit. Ive found myself spending way too much on lunch as well. So very curious to as to what VTers do for lunch.

I believe that Holland would have won that game when it was at 1-0, however the fact they needed to win by 2 or more goals forced them to go searching for a second and ultimately allowed Portugal to catch them on the break. Then they beat Czech Republic, who were battered by Russia (who didnt even qualify) 4-1. Italy looked sluggish and average at times versus Ireland, while holding their own against Spain, one would have to believe had David Villa been playing upfront instead of Cesc Fabregas that it would have been a different scoreline. Also saw a stat today that Spain have not conceded a goal in a knock out game since against France in the WC 08
