  1. A lot of their fans seem to think they've spent £100m on transfers and they are now weaker than they were in the championship. Loads of people seemed to be predicting them to be comfortably mid table before the season started but I can't see anything but a relegation scrap for them personally.
  2. With Mings out he adds some heading ability and strength to the defence. Must be such a relief for him to be getting regular minutes now.
  3. You can tell he hasn't had much time training with the team and Emery. Had to be pointed where to stand for one corner and occasionally occupied the same space as others but he looked a real threat and very keen to impress. Look forward to seeing him when he's had a bit more time to bed in.

We are in Corfu too, haven't had many bites until I got one on my hand last night which has swollen right up. That will teach me to get complacent.
  5. I don't see us buying a RB, probably much more likely to get a LB and move Digne on. I'm not saying I wouldn't bring one in but I just think Emery is happy with Cash/Konsa/Chambers there. I think we will bring in an attacking player and maybe that LB but not much else.
  6. Yep, definitely a case of you shot down my plane, I'll shoot down yours.
  7. Just wait until RT are running a simulation showing how it must have been a Ukrainian fighter jet.
  8. Potentially downed by Russian air defences no less.
  9. Calvert Lewin will be relishing playing against 2 defenders who aren't great in the air. Not feeling confident about this one.
  10. Probably should have thought about playing our best striker as a striker rather than a left back. Some dreadful substitutions didn't help either.
  11. My son isn't massively into football yet but I'm doing my best. I live in Manchester and have been desperately trying to get him interested in Villa rather than United or City. My question is simple really, is it a form of child abuse to try and inflict this on him?
  12. I'm not sure what more convincing you need after last season? I agree that Emery needs to rethink that high line now but there is nothing to suggest that he won't analyse this game and make adjustments.
  13. I'd be considering starting him considering the injury to Buendia. I certainly wouldn't be playing Bailey ahead of him however I don't think Emery rates him and I suspect the plan is to try and sell him.
  14. Shocking. Looked completely lost without Mings. Don't think we can play a high line without him as we lack organisation and recovery pace.
  15. Russo isn't good enough, her one goal came from some pretty horrendous goalkeeping. I think the decision to play her over the top goalscorer in the wsl will cost England.
  16. and here is the footage of the boat successfully destroying the naval drone. A wonderful job, that drone is in smithereens now.
  17. It's only now that I've actually allowed myself to watch a YouTube highlights video that I realise I've been pronouncing his name wrong for the last few weeks.
  18. What's it got to do with your employer unless you are prosecuted for commiting a criminal offence? How 'immoral' do you have to be to get sacked? If you have an affair should you get the boot? What if it wasn't gay porn, is that still immoral enough to sack you? Employers aren't the morality police and nor should they be.
  19. As @sharkyvilla says, he's unclipping the bowler's cap.
  20. Don't think that was the point, I think he's essentially bottled it. If Shoigu stays then he looks even more ridiculous. Managed a solution which doesn't really solve anything and all parties look incredibly weak because of it.
  21. Get rid of Shoigu and Gerasimov and stop the law which essentially subsumed Wagner into the state military. Pretty sure it's worked as well and we will hear about changes in the Russian MOD soon.
  22. Prigozhin says he's standing down. How disappointing.
