  1. We do but those are the 3 that seem pretty much nailed on and if there are 4 that are close then I hope the fourth is a striker.
  2. Hung out to dry but if we were hoping to bring in a similar player to McGinn then we've backed the wrong horse.
  3. Vida, Louie Barry and hopefully a decent striker
  4. If Conor Hourihane falls in a forest and there's no one there to hear him, does he make a sound?
  5. Said in his replies it was Vassilev. Bit of a weird statement.
  6. Every time Leicester player has a chance one of our defenders has switched off. When we score 'it was always going to be difficult for Chilwell there'
  7. Yep and out of all the journos he's been the most reliable about our transfers. Time to move on I think.
  8. Nice to have someone in the team who you back to win most of his headers. I dont feel like we are going to concede from every set piece when he's in the team
  9. I don't think he was prepared for how much you need to command your area in leagues like the Championship either. For me he's generally been a good shotstopper with very good distribution but terrible command of his area. I'm hoping a combination of having someone with the leadership of Mings in defence and the right coaching will have helped him.
  10. I was one calling for him to get a chance but he looks like a player who knows he's already leaving. The need for a quality striker in this window has just increased massively.
  11. I wonder how much effect Neil Cutler has had on that. Given how good Steer looked at the end of last season, he seems to be doing some excellent work with the keepers.
  12. Very happy to see him taking that free kick from just outside the box as I knew that was no chance he'd score that.
  13. He said it to Grealish and I suspect he was probably right.
  14. I was certain he was going to flap at that corner at the end. Very happy he proved me wrong.
  15. A few pointers from the first half: We've been very good, back to free flowing football and Jack hurting teams in the final third. How good is it to have Mings back? Just looked so much more organised. Burnley have been dreadful, they won't be that bad in the second half, we can't afford to sit back and let them come at us. A lot of talk of toxic fans at Villa Park, but the atmosphere at Turf Moor is far worse than its been all season at VP.
  16. It's a marmite kit, I really like it. Anyway, going 5 at the back is generally a welcome change but just wish we'd tried it while Targett was fit.
  17. He posted something on his Instagram with the emoji so maybe just illness. Hope him and Mings are back soon because I still believe when they are both fully fit they are our best centre back pairing.
  18. The same fans were giving dogs abuse to Luiz.
  19. 50% of headers won must be a new record for him. I’ve heard a lot of people saying that he’s a scapegoat and the fans need to get off his back but all around me he got backing throughout the match, getting an ovation every time he closed them down. On the other Luiz and El Ghazi got pelters pretty much every time they touched the ball. Funny how differently people see games isn’t it?
  20. This is the worst thing for me. If you have a striker who doesn't score very often, he has to be good at winning and holding onto the ball. He usually gets outmuscled, at which point he throws himself to the floor. When he does win the ball it usually pings off him straight to an opposition player. I also can't remember someone so tall being beaten to so many headers either. I want him to succeed, but it's ridiculous that he's playing so poorly and starting every game at the moment.
  21. Just rewatched the replay of Heaton's save for Willian's free kick. I hadn't realised how well he had done to follow up and get ahead of his man. A relatively small detail but it's the sort of thing we usually don't do well. I suspect if he hadn't been on the pitch we would have lost 3-1.
  22. Problem is he gets his place back against teams where we have a good amount of possession and some time on the ball. When we are the team who is sitting back he offers nothing, the game just completely bypasses him.
