I really hope he chooses England as he deserves to be playing with better players than this, he must be so frustrated. Ireland's team at present is pretty poor and there doesn't seem to be anyone decent coming through. Of course it's up to him but I think he deserves better.

Would love us to get Kouyate, Defour and recall Grealish this window. Kouyate is massive and can play Dm or CB as cover for Vlaar. Defour would sit in front of the DM's and Grealish will give us options all across the front with no extra striker needed. With the signings coming from Belgium they will help each other settle quickly as well as hopefully being a massive pick me up to Benteke, you could probably get them both for about 10m and wages shouldnt be massive. I thought maybe Graham could be the squad player but he can only play the wings whereas Grealish can also play behind and a little deeper. Grealish has also hit form and Graham has barely played since being out for a long time. In an ideal world Graham could take Grealish's place at Notts County for the rest of the season.

Shite performance, but I can see we are changing the way we play quite a bit at the moment and tightening up massively at the back, which was necessary. I think sooner or later we will find that happy balance between attack and defence, but it may take the acquisition of a creative midfielder. I really don't know what going on with Benteke at the moment but I'm not sure he's fully fit, he often seems to be hobbling a bit off the ball and holding his leg. He was absolutely woeful today and there were a few times when the ball was played in to him, or into space for him, and he didn't even try too win it. Guzan- 6 not a lot too do Bacuna- 5.5 didn't get forward very well and passing was poor. Clark- 8. Solid again MOTM Vlaar- 7.5 good game Luna- 5.5 Caught out of position a few time and passing was a bit off. El ahamadi- 6 decent first half, anonymous second before going off. Delph- 6 worst performance of the season from him by far. Gave the ball away a lot in the first half but looked a lot better on the second. First match this season he hasn't been a candidate for MOTM. Westwood- 7 seems to be coming good now. Agbonlahor- 8 worked tirelessly and was our biggest attacking threat by far. Weiman- 6.5 looked a lot better than he has done in the first half but seemed absolutely knackered in the second. Benteke- 2 probably the worst performance from any Villa player this season. Looked completely dis interested and possibly still injured. Albrighton and Tonev both looked lively when they came on. Overall I'm not too fussed and think with so many players returning from injury at the same time we did ok. Next week they'll be much fitter and less rusty and I believe we may surprise some people at Southampton. Only changes I'd like to see would be Lowton back in at right back and Kozak in for Benteke if he's not really 100% fit.

Benteke looks poor but last season home to Sunderland he was the same. The second half however.....

dwight Yorke looked awful for us in his last game, just saying I'm just saying I was watching that match purely to see him play and he wasn't great in it. I have no doubt his head wouldn't of been straight and completely trust Paul Lamberts judgement.

He got subbed and was saying goodbye to all his team mates. Didn't look great.

Shouldn't have lost that. Good performance, especially the midfield, Delph and Sylla were class.

I really hope we bring Sylla in for Bowery in this one to keep an eyeon Berbatov when he drops deep. If one if our centre backs gets that job he'll be dragged all over the pitch leaving massive gaps at the back.

Good half. Fair play Bannan I think he had about 10 touches in the build up to that goal!

Good lineup. A bit more solid and hopefully a 3 man midfield will give Bannan a chance to play a bit more advanced. If it isn't going well hopefully Nzogbia will want to prove a point and terrorise them. 3-1 Villa

Really feel that extra midfielder, replacing Weimann would be even more crucial now with that defence. I thought we would get a draw 5 mins ago but now feel a complete spanking coming on.

I think everyone's confidence in a result has just dropped a touch!

I would like to see a midfielder come in for Weimann in this one. We need to stifle there midfield and I think Gabby, Benteke and Nzogbia should be enough to hurt there defence, especially on the counter. I would probably go with Sylla.
