Yes probably. But as FFP is combined with next season, it would make no difference to buy him now or next summer for FFP purposes.

We're at £84m already (30+20+18+16 roughly). Plus Rashica £22m makes £106m. If we bought Barkley it would take it closer to £140m.

Another way of looking at it, say our budget was £100m. We've spent £30+20+16+18=£84 million. Plus Rashica or someone like that for £20m. Thats £104 million spent. Even if we really pushed it to £120m budget by bringing forward spending from next summer, we could probably only get another 1 person in on top of the winger/Rashica.

But if we got another 5 on top of the 4 we already have, that's 9 players. Basically buying a whole new first team! That's not realistically going to happen.

If i had to guess, i'd say 1 more player will come in during this transfer window.

I can't see us scoring a goal with that line-up. Though we don't have anyone else if we aren't planning on using Grealish and Watkins.

Maybe he's just not a striker but would be better in some other attacking position? Definitely needs to go out on loan for a season, assuming we have enough cover.
