Still love his films, and his taste in movies and music is fantastic. His acting part in From Dusk... made great viewing, even though he's a terrible actor. Also, the car chase at the end of Death Proof is arguably one of the greatest I've ever seen.

8/10 Positives: Good, solid signings... We broke our transfer record for a decent player who may become very good. We improved the defence with a bit of quality (Cuellar/Friedel) whilst also addressing the full back issue reasonably well. Sidwell is a decent addition and will provide competition for NRC/Petrov. Best transfer deal was keeping Barry at the club. For me, the downsides were we could have done better than L.Young for £6m. Milner also seemed very pricey. Also, no new striker which may bite us in the ass. And no real 'wow' signing. None of our signings would have made other teams look up and take much notice. But that's not MONs style. I just hope Man City and Tottenham's stock piles of cash don't blow us out the race to break top 4 now.

Too many midfielders?! Who'd think we'd have that problem a year ago? To be honest it's probably Barry who SHOULD be dropped based on his performances in the last couple of games. But Barry won't be dropped because he's our Gerrard. If he's fit - he'll play. We can't afford to drop NRC because he's the only player who'll give us the grit and tackling ability in the centre of the park. And Ashley Young is still our most creative outlet. Milner HAS to come in to the team to give us some width and a different option in attack. So I've voted for Petrov, even though he's been doing well.

General, first of all thanks for all the great work. I was at VP on Saturday and the ground looked great and fit for the new season. Now we have secured a position in the UEFA cup, I think the mood amongst the fans is they are expecting some BIG statements of intent through our transfer activity - i.e. we want to see the same ambition that clubs like Spurs, Liverpool and Everton are showing. After last January's very quiet transfer window, there are many doubters in the ranks, and this can't be a good sign. Can you assure us that the fan's, player's and manager's ambitions are going to be suitably represented in these weeks running up until September 1st?

IMO both are utter tosh. Neither are 'indie' or 'alternative' - they are generic pop for the NME buying/Radio 1 listening masses. Listen to the new albums by Born Ruffians, M83, Nick Cave, Black Mountain, Why? or Neon Neon instead.

Have we really not won in London for 22 games? That's ridiculous. We HAVE to win tomorrow. If Blackburn go and beat the dirty Blues, I don't think the satisfaction of seeing Blues go down will overshadow us missing out on Europe.

I would just like to add that I agree with the sentiments of my fellow Villans. We shouldn't be considering this extra game, because it's clearly just for money and makes the league unfair. However, I would say that I agree that Villa needs to explore ways of making the Villa brand global. There are other ways we can do this though.
