Sky sports now saying that the deal was done to late and Spuds have asked for special dispensation. All bias aside i wouldnt allow it unless there are special circumstances. yeah thats how i feel now, my lads 8 months. Every time i get an offer of a night out im always thinking id rather have an early night and catch up on some sleep and i dont really want to put up with a hangover and an unforgiving son the next day. happens all the time, it only takes a couple of people to chuck a lot of money on it and odds get cut. Cutting odds then draws everyones attention, which entices more bets meaning that odds are cut further. I think we'd all love it to be true but it could all be caused by a simple hand shake show on the telly.

If you put villa aside and look at the situation as if it was happening to one of our rivals then what would you expect to see. Take another club with 3 years of consistent top 6 finishes, qualified for europe, who has spent 120m over 4 years and challenged in domestic cups. Would we expect them to install a manager who has never managed another club before?

I saw that challenge and it was no worse than the tackles Fellaini constantly commits. It that's a foul then Fellaini should get a red every game. Er, I meant our goal... :? Well it hasn't worked out for him at Madrid, as has happened with many quality players in the past. He would look for a move to us to play reguarly and prove he has still got the talent, which I'm not doubting, or infact stating I don't want at Villa, but once he plays well for us and the bigger Champions League teams or richer teams (Man City) come sniffing he would be up and off again. In response to where, there are plenty of answers to that question. A move to Italy perhaps? Or Bayern in Germany? 2 leagues he hasn't been to yet. Or maybe even City if they decide they need even more centre midfielders. There are plenty of possibilities for him to use us as a 'stepping stone'. I might add though, as others have stated, I dont have a problem as long as he gives us quality service and effort. Not that all this matters as we won't sign him havent you just described every footballer? every club is a stepping stone to something bigger as we have just seen with Milner. At least with Diarra he has previously been honest about it, id rather know where i stand and benefit from a player in the short term.

id go the same, Albrighton has played well but tired quickly last night. Id start with downing, give Albrighton a rest but bring him on if required. Would like to see a young lad brought through properly rather than risk burn out.

we definately went there to do a job and we did it. Thought the defence was a bit disorganised but they had never played together. Curtis looks like hes been hitting the weights but thought him and Lichaj did well. NRC had a cracking game and thought Heskey did well, a shame in the second half that the rest of the team we so far away from him. He resorted to bringing the ball down and running towards our half to find a pass. All in all the result we wanted, got the draw, got the away goal and rested some key players. Shame about the injury to Weimann.

make a decision folks, either the likes of Albrighton, Clarke and Delfonso are good enough to be in the squad or they're not. You've got some people on this site who moaned at MON for not using them, then praised Kmac for considering them, that are not moaning at him for using them. I think we'll win or draw tonight. Happy that were using our squad.

Think villa fans are some of the worst for double standards though. I can remember pretty much the whole holte end cheering "Your gonna get raped in the showers" at redknapp then a large number complaining when he gave us the V's. Its banter, no one actually thinks anyones a Paedo and no one wants to see anyone get raped. (except maybe that poster thats begins with a V, cant remember his name).

could we not be seeing Friedel/Guzan Beye Carlos Curtis Warnock Albrighton NRC Sidwell Downing Delf/Weimann Heskey Doesnt look like a week side at all to me. We all called for rotation under MON now we moan about it.
