  1. best of luck mate. have been there
  2. general, just to touch on an earlier comment regarding selecting seats from e-ticketing. if you are a registered member of the Leeds website, when you go to select tickets it allows you to book seats that you have previously sat in. Excellent feature if you know somewhere was particularly good.
  3. The understudy strikes me as the sort of chap who might play the banjo.
  4. while i accept this is true, some phones seem to deal with it better than others. My previous phone (Iphone 3G) coped with this a lot better. I would still get nearly a days usage even in low 3G areas. To lose nearly all of the battery within 4 hours i believe to be a huge flaw. My girlfriends sister has the same phone and experiences the same thing. This is a discussion thread, if someone is researching the phone then i think they should be aware of how limiting living in a low service area can be.
  5. Just a warning for any others thinking about getting the HTC desire HD. A great phone but really struggles when not in a 3G area. I spent 4 hours at an uncles yesterday who lives in one of these middle of no where, no signal places. My battery went from full to under 20% in that time. Typically it will last maybe a day and a half with moderate usage. Ive generally get around it using tasker as mention on this thread, a bit annoying if you forget to turn off this feature and a huge flaw in the phone for me.
  6. another great game but did get caught in possession a few times. needs better players around him.
  7. im not sure anyone has an issue with his size, im not sure he'll get the game time at villa that he'd want. Id also send him out on loan for a year, he needs to play games to properly develop, hes not good enough to be doing that in our side yet IMO and wont get good enough if hes not playing regularly. Very few players move from the youth team to the first team as they seek regular first team football.
  8. How many can you see developing into first teamers though. Look at Bannan, 21 i think. Bit of a breakthrough season for him and then we go and sign two more central midfielders in the January transfer window. He also competing against Delph coming back from injury. Hes shown signs of promise but cant really hold his own in a central midfield spot. Id figure that he'd be wanting to play regular first team football by the age of 23. If we dont lose Petrov in the summer im not sure i can see that happening. He could also be competing with Gary Gardener for game time. Personally i can see him doing a Cahill/Gardener.
  9. Going forwards i agree, havent seen enough of Makoun as a holding midfielder yet. Delph does not have the discipline to do it and his tackling in worse than Scholes.
  10. a mistake. Most of the people seem to have answered a general question about taking out warranties. Your talking about an extra £50 on a £500 item with relatively new technology.
  11. ive always bought from Richer Sounds and always get the 5 year warranty. Especially at just 10% of the price. Every tv ive had, ive had to get repaired under the warranty. Sometimes it was small issues that i would have otherwise put up with. When they send off the tv they will also give you a loan set. Excellent customer service.
  12. can see him coming back and featuring, probably in place of Ashley Young
  13. agree with his comments on Bannan. Had a great introduction but like Albrighton he needs to add bits of his game. Hes a young lad and no where near ready to replace Petrov or NRC, this is shown by our turn in results. Needs to play in a strong side and needs to learn.
  14. Cant see a future for Ireland. Young is better playing off a front man.
  15. ive recently past 40k and have a good bonus on its way this year. Unfortunately my girlfriend is now a stay at home mum now so i dont really get to see any of it.
  16. hate tennis, hate andy murray. both are boring.
  17. i think if nothing else he will actually boost the performances of NRC and Petrov til the end of the season. A reasonable debut, was nice to have the option to bring on someone of Petrovs experience to see out a game.
  18. could we be about to see VT's first couple since Trim and Laura
  19. Pretty much exactly my thinking. A good win and a better performance but still far from flawless imo. It reminded me of a MON style of performance, not pretty but effective. I am sure GH's long term strategy will see us improve in every aspect. my thoughts as well, sort of echos what people have said about GH trying to change our style of play to quickly. Need to build on this with 3 points against Wigan, then weve got some breathing space.
  20. Bit of Fabien next to Makoun, Ireland in the hole...just to look into the 'future'... Or even next to Makoun in that 'Pirlo' role. It would be his final chance to impress IMO. Then again, maybe behind Bent he'd play better due to the clever movement. Bent will be cup tied, though i see your point in general
  21. I think Pienaars a cracking player, rated him very highly since the 3-2 at goodison where i thought he gave us the run around all day. I dont understand why Everton arent being talked about as relegation candidates, they're only a couple of results from being in the crap. What with Everton vs West Ham and Wolves vs Liverpool by the end of saturday the table could look a lot different if things go against the big clubs.
  22. Hes absolutely right!!! Thats why bent/kev phillips/andy cole - all struggled at International. Good goalscorers - but not great footballers. a large part of stans argument is also based around no guarantees regarding future signings and having a long term strategy. If were only going to spend 24m then there may be other areas we should address. Id tend to go along with this. If were struggling for goals then maybe someone like Robbie Keane would be a short term solution and we could address the bigger picture in the summer. Stan is concerned that this is a panic buy. Personally i go along with what hes saying, it depends on what money is available. If Randy is going to provide another 20-30m in the summer then this is a great signing, if not our money could probably be better spent elsewhere. I think there is some bitterness over MON not being given this money, something else i share.
  23. Sorry about the bad news pal, things will get better. In the meantime were all here for you, you should probably post a picture of her tits though so we can all really focus on your situation.
  24. People say this all of the time and it really annoys me. For a start it's obvious MON could NOT be trusted with transfer funds, why do you think he walked. If you sent someone to the shop to buy you Russian Standard and they came back with Aldi's own every single time would you tell them to go every single time? Think about it... is it obvious MON could not be trusted with transfer funds? you talk like every signing was poor. This man built a squad that achieved 3 successive sixth placed finishes. Where has the money for this come from, Milner....another MON signing. Your now raving about a signing made by a man that was universally hated a few hours ago. You may not like my opinion but its valid, MON achieved and Randy stopped backing him, GH has taken huge backwards steps and alienated most of the fan base yet he is given money. People talk about the players who's wages need to be cleared, so far only one has gone and i strongly suspect Bent will be bought in on a bit more money.
  25. i can echo some of stans concerns. Given the money and wages involved why were these things not available during the summer. Surely its better to spend 24m when were pushing for champions league rather than in a relegation battle. Sounds like a panic signing, not necessarily a long term deal. My other concern is whether this is a Houllier signing or a Lerner/Faulker one?
